4 handed 5/10/20 i am utg with JTo i make it 80. the straddle(huge fish) calls. he's check/raised me the last two flops we played, almost no way he was bluffing.

so now there is 280 in the pot, he has 600 behind. we are fricking 4 handed. he is short stacked. i have a boat.

Just finished Let There Be Range. I liked it mostly because it reinforces that I need to slow down and spend time analyzing hands that I'm in. It also gives me a little more confidence in bluffing situations.

But this really cracked me up. It was an example about calling a turn bet.

"it's not a bad idea to hover the mouse over opponents' screen names to get some reads based on locations. If it's somewhere in Scandinavia or Russia, always click call if it's a close decision between folding and calling."

Very applicable to live as well

For some reason in live poker, people don't like it when I hover my mouse over them.

How many buyins do I need to be playing 10/10NL live. 600 min 3k max. I only took a shot once when the game was good and my friends convinced me to play. I generally stick to 2/5 (1k max buyin), and I'm very comfortably rolled for that game (probably overrolled)

Edit: there's no 5/10 game

You have a real job so I'd say play if the games look good but be prepared to drop down if you lose 10K. If you have the discipline to drop down, you really only need to carve out a shot roll and gogogogogo.

If tournies go well enough for me I'm going to put together a live shot roll. It's kind of nice to get out of the house on my own occasionally

surprisingly, only one table of 10/10 running tonight, so I just played 2/5. booked another winning session in 3 hours of work. pretty nice.

Twice today I just got into the money and got it in so good in 3/4 way spots and lost

i passed on 5/10 tonight cuz it was a crappy game!!!!! everyone was shocked. i played 3/5 for a couple hours, then the game got good so i jumped in. i broke even, but at the end of the night i lost a 5k pot to a 3 outer on the river

in another pot i made a horrific shove, but luckily i got away with it

4D I never played MTT's regularly and I shipped twice 11+R, it was around 15k together, try that one, it used to start about 9-10pm every night iirc.

If you have time play that structure, unlimited rebuy and add on, reg speed. There was 3.30 one for micro stakes iirc, you can restrict yourself on one rebuy when you start and one add on, totalling 10 bucks. Achievable roi at these mtts is enormously high.

This is kind of weird: Party NJ has a daily scratch off where you can win little prizes. For a couple weeks I was winning slots bonuses, which put x$ in your account that can only be used at the slots and have some clearance criteria (probably 5X, which is what the casino bonuses were). Anyway I got a bunch of $5 slot bonuses with a couple higher and lower ones and even a casino bonus or two mixed in there for the past month. (Basically free shots at the slots).

Now I am getting poker bonuses galore (which clear slowish, I think they come out to 25% rake back or something). 2 $5's, a $1, and a $50 this morning. FREE MONEY (much more so than the slots bonus because I would usually busto the bonus $'s before I cleared and have 0 net).
