It really depends on the guy more than anything.

Why can't it be both?

They prolly initially only wanted to bang you, became your friend and realized just how awesome you are. Now, they still wanna bang you but they'll deal with it bc of your pure awesomeness.

well it's not like i'm a dick, i'm still a charming fellow. it's just ---EV to make a girl feel super duper comfortable with me prior to setting a romantic frame if my goal is to get laid.

it doesn't, but women are pretty good at conveying their willingness to cheat. if it's in the vicinity of 0%, they may as well be unattainable and it would be easier to remain friends.

That.. would be the single greatest thing ever, especially if you did it successfully.

it goes something like this normally

but there's always the underlying "man this girl is awesome, but you know what would make her more awesome? if she had sex with me!"

for me the only time it's way easy to be friends with a girl is if she's dating a really good friend and his friendship is >>> her potential sex with me

yeah, often this is the case. FTR I think having sex with someone is a great way to begin a friendship.

I never found this to be a success.

Bc that sexual element isn't involved in my perspective of the friendships so its weird to me and possibly uncomfortable, I dunno. Hard to explain

I would have assumed the opposite. If men are friends with women they want to bang, then what prevents them from losing interest in the friendship once they've banged you?

I feel once you've seen eachother nude and copulated, you can be very honest and talk about anything.

You are on fire today, I love it

I mean guys- if you had to choose between hanging out with someone that looked like Brad Pitt, or someone that looked like fat Jared from the subway commercials (assume everything else about them is the same), you're telling me you really don't care?

Like I said - because wanting to bang is not the sole reason they are friends with you. I mean I'm sure those guys exist too, and they suck.

i love how the opposite of brad pitt is fat jared

But how would one possibly tell the difference in the beginning?

I select aggressively for ugly male friends so that I will look hot in comparison

You mean in the scenario you meet a guy, have sex, and then become friends but you're not certain he actually appreciates you for other things than the sex? I suppose you just have to people read at that point. Ofc if you only sleep once or a few times his intentions should become obvious.

presumably the fact that you remain willing to bang them

if you just bang them once and then was like "hey let's be friends instead" you'll only be able to keep the betas around. only caveat is if you offer to be their winglady and hook them up with other hot girls that you know they may be down to hang.
06-18-2012 , 05:28 PM
Yeah, the odds of me going around testing guys out for friendships using that method is <0%

On a scale of Fat Jared to Brad Pitt, Supine is an Edward Norton in The Machinist
