Construction of the Berlin Wall began on august 13th 1961 in the middle of the night. It was build to seperate ally-occupied West Germany from Soviet-run East Germany. There were 4 generations of the wall, each stronger than the one before. The first one was just a barbed wire fence. The final wall was 12 feet high, made of concrete and had 302 watchtowers.

West Germans were allowed to enter East Germany by obtaining a special permit. East Germans were not allowed to enter West Germany under any circumstances.

Two families escaped East Germany in a hot air balloon in 1979.

The west side of the Berlin Wall was covered in graffiti, the East side was not.

Not without a permit, the permission may have been easy to obtain (for West Germs), but nevertheless it was needed. Sammy's knowledge about German history is very strong. Morph should not challenge Sammy in this area, even though Morph was in his 30's when the wall was build.
