How long is NBC stuck with the ND agreement?

I didn't watch any of the WVU game and I haven't read a single post in this thread, but I'm gonna assume Bill Stewart is to blame.

Why hate on the Big East? They have just as many BCS titles as the Big Ten and if we kick anyone out maybe we should kick out the one conference that doesn't have a BCS title first? Has USC been forced to give back their tainted 2004 trophy yet? If so the PAC 10 has zero BCS titles and not even one legitimate appearance in the title game. Good thing they're awesome at volleyball because they sure suck at football.

Seriously though the Big East should be very thankful they've still got an automatic BCS slot.

So you're counting Miami's 2001 victory for the Big East? I think one of the major points here is that the Big East no longer has VaTech, Miami, or BC and therefore is no longer deserving of an automatic bid. VT and Miami won the conference 9 of the 12 years they were in it. The last time a current Big East school was credited with a National Championship was Pittsburgh in 1976

Dantonio can set whatever rules he wants, and it's a pretty smart move when you're playing against one of the best QBs in the country and need to have your best DBs out there, especially when you're 8-0 and have a good shot at 12-0 if you win.

Michigan has had their share of these over the years too, do you not care because Lloyd didn't have a "zero tolerance policy" in place? GMAFB

Not like we ran him out of town. I don't share the venom for him that a lot of WVU fans have. I think it sucks that he left, and I am upset about getting left with Bill Stewart, but I'm thankful for the success that he brought us when he was here.

I think the hate has more to do with the fact that we got left with the least competent coach in the country instead of the basketball program which actually significantly upgraded to Huggins after Beilein left. Doubt anybody is mad at Beilein anymore.


Because despite how insanely bad they are this year, and how ridic far above historical means the WAC and MWC are this year, the Big East is clearly deserving of an auto bid over the last 10 years. I think that we might actually be above the ACC in the BCS metrics, and we are well ahead of the MWC and WAC, even if we aren't actually any good this year.

You can pretty much literally thank Pat White for singlehandedly carrying the Big East banner for half of the last decade.

FWIW though, the Big East is historically bad this year.
