The flip side of this is nobody is going to beat Khabib on the ground and Ferguson is a less dangerous Conor on the feet. You really think he has a chance? Meanwhile, Conor has a better chance against Ferg than against Khabib also. I love ground game but who is going to touch Khabib?

What Khabib did wasn't smart and shouldn't of happened. What Conor did was worse imo. Maybe Khabib's friends get banned but that's about it.

The thing I hate the most about this is that I think Dana is gonna use this situation to keep Conor as champ and keep the dollars rolling in.

What planet will anyone buy he's the champ after that beat down.

Even for UFC it's hard to believe Conor gets the champ after losing a definitive beatdown from a title fight he was the challenger and not the champ going into it.

Ferguson is such a bag of cringe on the Mic

Conor would probably fight Tony for the interim title if Khabib ends up getting suspended. Then the winner fights Khabib for the actual title once he comes back.

Taking Khabib's purse is criminal, wtf.

The same one that saw McGregor get choked out by Diaz and then not only want the rematch but considered his close points win as reason enough to watch McGregor fight for the lightweight title.

The word you're looking for is "expected". Can't do that and get paid.

Ferguson is more of a champion right now than Conor.

Currently they're only withholding it afaik. Taking it would be extremely unlikely and would likely result in a civil court case if it did happen.

Bodes poorly for him that he can’t knock a guy off his feet when he sucker punches him from behind shortly after he taps out

Surely will be docked at least? He broke every ****ing rule at the end there. Organising lads to jump your opponent at the end like!

Actually looks like Conor threw the first punch at one of Khabib's team members. Maybe Conor felt a fight with them was inevitable and threw first but it still looks like he initiated it.

You'd have a very hard time proving that Khabib actually organized his team to make the attack.

Seemed to me that the team did it on their own.

If disciplinary action is taken, docking might be part of that. I don't know if the rules are the same for MMA but for boxing I think the NSAC can dock a maximum of 30% of a fighter's purse. I'm not 100% sure of that though.

Tony's post fightjust wrapped. If we ever live to see a fighter with a highercombination of skill and cringe I'd be shocked.

It wasn't the guy in the red shirt that hit Conor from behind.

I think it was the 1st guy over the fence that went after Conor right before the guy in the red shirt.

Guys that jumped in “will never fight here again” according to Dana.

Conor didn't press charges. 3 dudes from Khabib's team released, according to White.

Bisping is less skill, it’s true.

Yeah that's a good thing. Completely beyond the pale for them to jump in and gang up on Conor.

That said, Conor has always been treated with kiddie gloves when it comes to discipline by the UFC. Does Khabib bring in enough new fans to treat him the same way?

Dana on Conor: He didn't even press charges. He was upset over the loss. He wasn't even mad over the fight after. Again, he didn't even press charges.

Dana on Khabib: I haven't spoken to Khabib.

Conor jumped inside the cage and pushed a ref in bellator. Conor jumped outside the cage to get in Jose Aldo's face in UFC. Conor flew in a bunch of his team to attack Khabib's bus that ruined an entire UFC card and seriously injured a fighter enough to get sued over it. UFC promoted some of those things for this very fight.

Very fine line between supporting that and OMG WE GOT TO GET THOSE GUYS OUT OF HERE FOREVER.

Conor called Khabib's manager a terrorist rat, I mean I get it it's a performance act to hype fights, but man there are people you have to be careful and those type of guys don't **** around. Dagestan. You don't **** around there.
