Bill Hicks - if u want to see a comedian go after advertising and marketing people, look him up on Youtube. George Carlin ripped them too. RIP both these guys.

OK - been watching MMA & UFC for a long time. Every UFC event annoys me in what I mentioned in the 1st paragraph cause they always use the oxymoron of CO - MAIN - EVENT.

Duh - u can't have a co-main event UFC. Study MAIN EVENT UFC - there can only be one. THAT'S WHAT MAIN EVENT MEANS.

Whats next QUINTUPLE - MAIN - EVENT.

Yea - then every fight on the card would be the main event. Yea - I know - big deal how they market their product to get every penny on that bottom line. Just one of those things that annoys me that shouldn't.

Also (on another topic) - I saw this guys 1st fight and several others and I don't think he is thought of as highly as he should be. I'm sure that when he was making his way to the cage for his 1st fight people weren't thinking.....this guy is going to be one of the very best ever. But he was/is...DANIEL CORMIER

I think Jon Jones had about a 12" reach advantage & much taller. Even so, D.C. would charge in knowing he was gonna have to take a lot of punishment. I've seen many fights where opponents just want to make it through the fight instead of throwing caution to the wind (which would be their only chance at victory).

Such as when Pacquaio lost to Mayweather. Pac's only chance was to throw caution to the wind with Mayweather.....I mean if u knew boxing....Mayweather should have been a much bigger favorite in that fight. I had been a Pac fan - but when I saw that he knew he was losing & knew early....he decided....its too dangerous for me to get all over him....so I'll just take this giant paycheck and lose by a decision.

D.C. would have tried whatever no matter how dangerous to get the W!

Hmm - sort of an unusual post here I think.

D.C.

@1:14 " Let's talk about the lesson we learned tonight, it's a strong lesson that Robbie should've learned from his good friend Matt Hughes; You stay off the tracks when the trains coming through Jr, it doesn't matter if it's the Colby train or the Trump train, GET OUT THE WAY!!"

A bit low but i mean it works in making him a heel. I hope it gets political and even beyond in the leadup to Snoozeman vs King Colby .

I feel like he's trying too hard. His **** sounds rehearsed and then he just keeps repeating it like he did when he got up on the tv stage later after the interview. If you're going to play the heel you have to think better on your feet. Can't wait for his ass to get knocked out and he blames someone else for it.

Its def working tho. Dude got the freaking first family to show up and cheer for him, and the President to tweet about him. I would never want to play that type of heel but it was a f'ing brilliant move for him given how bland and vanilla he was as a fighter and personality.

You basically answered my question, but I was wondering if it was all an act. I'm a relative UFC noob so I had never seen him before last Saturday. I look forward to watching him get knocked out someday.

Him being a douche isn't an act.

He's playing up the ignorant moron he is. Him being boys with Masvidal is the only thing that gives me any amount of pause, I'm sure he views him as one of the good ones tho.

UFC needs a supervillain badly, but Colby is so fake that it's cringe inducing.

It's like a straight devolution from it's peak with Chael -> Conor -> now this.

Chael has the delivery of an acerbic comic.

This guy has the delivery of Marco Rubio.

No, only a douche says what he says about a man who survived a suicide.

Can't fake that.

It very clearly is an act. Watch any old interview and you’ll see how wrong and ignorant you are.

Even in the interview below when the kid says he should be more like himself Colby replies “it’s not what sells”

Matt Hughes is a terrible human being and a black eye for the sport. It should be open season for jokes about Matt Hughes, IMO.

BTW, saying that it was a suicide attempt is pure speculation.

Correct, if you're a horrible human being. (I don't like Matt Hughes either and know his backstory - including the **** he bragged about in his biography.) If Colby tried to kill himself and survive, I would also call anyone who used it to lift themselves an *******.

I'm not going to to argue morality with a thread full of (apparent) *******s so gl with your views guys. (Nor the obviousness that terrible human being Matt Hughes tried to kill himself and didn't care about the conductor of the train or anyone else.)

I haz no idea who Colby Covington is tho.

I know why he did it, I called it at the time. It's worked. Cool. Still an *******. He doesn't know where to draw the line. I said the same thing with Conor when he called Siver a nazi - what do you know? Conor's an idiot and an *******.

Is his biography a good read?
