JBJ vs Stipe rumored for UFC 228

Not sure why JBJ would do that. DC already put Stipe to sleep so it isn't like he is going to get a ton of credit for beating him, despite the fact it is a much bigger risk than staying at 205.

And he won't even draw much more with Stipe than he would at 205.

Props to him if he does it though.

I would love to see Jones vs Stipe. I feel like there possibly could be a couple interesting fights for Jones at LHW but the guys are a few fights away from being ready to fight Jones so him doing a stint at HW makes sense.

That's his billed height and billed weight in pro wrestling. Those are very inflated #s. It's a trick to make wrestlers seem even bigger than they actually are. Similar to Andre the Giant standing on a box in this picture:



CM Punk fought at 170lbs in the UFC (seemed undersized tbh). From what I read he is actually 5'11" or 6' tall. Daniel Bryan who is one of the biggest stars in the WWE is billed at 5'8".

Still, I agree that Conor's size is a very inhibiting factor to him transitioning to WWE. WWE guys are huge..even many of the guys considered small are quite big. One of the main reasons Ronda was able to transition so seemlessly to WWE is that she is much stronger than most of the other females in WWE and her Judo moves work really well in WWE, whereas striking isn't much of a thing in pro wrestling.

Fortunately for Conor he has so much money that being a full time WWE superstar is not even an option. I could see him getting involved in Wrestlemania ala Floyd Mayweather knocking out Big Show or Donald Trump shaving Vince McMahon's head but that's about it.

Yeah, Tyquil can probably get a title shot if he wins that in impressive fashion. Masdival looks like he is turning down a Askren fight, smart move. If he couldn't stay on his feet vs Maia then I doubt he can vs Askren.

Moraes/Cejudo for 238 for bantamweight title as well, flyweight division still seems dead.

Guess Masdival ended up taking the fight with Askren. Be interesting to see what happens if Askren and Woodley both win, who would get the next title shot over the Usman/Cov winner.

170 has more interesting fights/scenarios than the rest of the UFC combined right now.

In that situation i almost feel like the person to get the title fight depends on who wins Usman vs Colby fight. I think Woodley should fight Colby next regardless, that fight is like unfinished business as I thought it was the fight that was going to happen for so long only for Usman to swoop in.

I don't see Masvidal doing too well against Askren considering how he did againt Maia.

That one is right behind "what you doing with a schoolbag? you can't even ****ing read". Conor is an above average fighter but he's the undisputed goat at ****talking. This is not a fight Khabib can win.

Id enjoy the back and forth alot more if I knew for sure that the only physical altercations came in the octagon. As is I just feel really uneasy that something extreme is going to happen outside of it

Right? This seems legit unsafe. Conor and Khabib are obviously high enough profile that they aren't likely to be in the same place, but their teams could interact in ways that would be decidedly less than positive.
