Well, they never had timeouts, inexplicably went to deep drops that enabled Denver's pass rush to get home, and Ron is such a dumbass that his defense had to call a timeout to allow him to then risk another timeout with a challenge. Probably some 4th down stupid too, don't really remember.

Nah. It will only happen if a coach accidentally has a TO left. A rarity in the NFL.

Unless it's a situation where they should have been calling TOs in order to get the ball back in the case a FG is made. In those cases they will always have 3 remaining to ice with.

With 36 seconds left in the first half, third and long from their own 20, Tulsa only down by 10 decides to throw for a 1st down in a pouring rainstorm.

Pick 6 and they go into the half down by 17.

I thought this was stupid when it happened since they have the best QB in the league, and I said as much to my friend, but it's sort of results-oriented because nobody would think these were awful calls if the 3rd down play resulted in a touchdown. The running game should be able to get 6 yards in three tries.

That said, the results do matter for these guys. They get fired based on the results.

(1:23 - 4th) (Shotgun) A.Luck pass short left to T.Hilton to DET 12 for no gain (D.Slay)

(1:15 - 4th) Timeout #2 by IND at 01:15.

The only thing dumber than Jim Caldwell not calling a timeout instantly is Chuck Pagano doing it for him.

Two plays later the Colts score to take the lead but having left Detroit with 37 seconds and all 3 timeouts they lost to a Matt Prater FG

Rex Ryan deserves some mention for managing to lose a game by 6 points with no fourth down attempts to convert in the entire second half. This includes a punt on 4th and 1 on the Baltimore 49 in the 4th quarter down 3.

Shout out to the Saints for burning all their TOs, including one to preserve 5 yards on like a 23 yard FG. I'm sure some of those might have come in handy on the final drive.
