Meh, it's symbolic anyway and he knows it. I wouldn't care if he was worth millions and only gave $100.

$100 feels purely symbolic but it's better than nothing I guess.

I would have rather Flake voted against a tax bill that screws over our country, wtf, y’all?

The WH press conference today felt like a twilight zone episode. “So like POTUS endorsed a guy who hunted and touched teenagers. HE IS A PREDATOR AND A CHILD MOLESTER, what say you?”

Hackabeet Sanders: let Alabama decide guys.

Seriously. Let's not forget Flake's issue with Trump is how Trump handles himself and not Trump's deplorable political stances. Part of Flake's contention with Trump is he's not conservative enough for him on some issues.

And this is a terrible take. Wanna take the under of $800k for his next job, and the over of 50 yards from K Street for his office?

The Koch Bros. tell Flake how to cast his votes. The other stuff, the donation check and the recent anti-Trump speech, is nothing more than grandstanding.

Yeah, donating $100 is utterly meaningless and pure Kayfab. In two months, after voting for a trillion dollar increase to the deficit so billionaires can write off their jet expenses, Flake will be beating the drum for cuts to entitlements. He is a piece of ****, and he should be stripped of all his wealth and authority and standing in society for his vote on that tax bill alone. A $100 Check that will accomplish nothing can’t make up for his vote. **** him.

This is the alabama election thread guys, a few polls have Jones ahead by a few points though I have no idea how.

Most common conclusion is that repub voters in alabama aren't answering polling calls and/or don't want to admit to voting for a pedo. Everyone still expects Roy to win easy.

That may be true, but doesn't change the fact that someone with a NW of $300k probably isn't spending like a millionaire yet even if he's likely to become one

Flake's kid once went on a twitter rant filled with n-bombs and anti-gay and anti-semitic slurs. Wonder where he learned that.

I mean JFC people. The only problem he has with Trump is he's an *******. If Pence were doing the exact same thing he'd be singing his praises.

But it's literally a cynical branding ploy so he can get booked on MSNBC as the Reasonable Conservative to explain we need to deregulate payday lenders so parents have the flexibility to pay off their kid's charter school lunch debt.

$100 is a pretty good ****ing investment to get a tweet that goes viral to advance his brand. It's completely cynical.

You know what doesn't happen? The right doesn't navel-gaze and eat their own arguing about whether Jill Stein / Susan Sarandon / etc should "really be celebrated as an ally" even though Stein's probably siphoning off just enough votes to hand Trump the election.

Nope. Doesn't happen. They take what they can get.

Moore with a solid 55% lead over Jones with white males without college.

Isn't that basically the entire electorate? Can't be many college grads sticking it out in Alabama, maybe the transplants up in Huntsville doing Defense work

So the left having higher standards than the right (or more accurately, any standards at all) is a bad thing iyo?

This briefly reminded me of some liberal comedian from the South that was posted here (probably by Alan?) who was like "hey you coastal elites, DID U KNOW that over a third of people in <insert Southern state> voted for Obama? We're not all the rednecks you make us out to be", something like that.

Anyway your post reminded me of that and made me curious so I went and looked up exit polling. Alabama doesn't have 2016 exit polls, but CNN has them for 2012:

Yeah, **** off, white southerners are 84%* of who we think they are

*89% in Mississippi!

Bannon just said, "Moore served his country honorably in Vietnam". Well guess who did not serve.
