Which mod should we be asking to edit the posts with our usernames in them. Just did a google search and this thread showed for me as well.

You click the ! under your avatar/post count and link the other posts (if you have more then 1) in the message box. Now you wait and a mod will take care of it.

edit; I removed mine like a week ago and its still showing so its no quick fix...

Best is to find the posts and hit the report post button.

what opener do you guys usually use that isnt so long? Everything I've tried so far has gotten 1 sentence replies and the conversation just seems to automatically go into interview mode.

I have wayyyyy too big of a ****ing headache right now to come up with a creative message to send you, so instead I'll just say you're adorable.

I should probably get some sleep...
^this girl responded well to this opener but then ignored the following message where I asked to get to know her (since her profile is empty)

Quote:
so you're really cute. Random question - what's the most adventurous thing you've done in the last year?
^this girl responds with 'thanks oh godd idk', I ask her if she ever does crazy stuff when she's out with her friends and which school she goes to, she responds 'not really, no. *name of college*'

sucks cause she's by far the hottest girl I've found on okc.

that 2nd opener has been my go-to when I can't think of anything creative based on the girl's profile

Definitely don't use it again. It's really lame. You might as well ask her what her favorite color is.

I'd say;
- use proper/controlled language (wayyyy and swearing is probably not good)
- you were the 1029783 guy to tell her she's cute, thx for that
- why use the term random question if you can leave that out, pose the same question and it will look like you actually read her profile

I think the concept of the '2 wasted 4 good messages' line could work but don't have enough experience to comment on it imo.

Tbh I don't have a scripted opener so I wouldn't really know, what I try to do is just read the profiles and work with that :|. Ill try and post some openers but [ ] samplesize.

I also don't have a scripted opener. If her profile is bare, I'll at least try to find something to say about a photo or whatever. And if I really can't think of a single thing to say to her, whey the **** would I want to message her anyway?

Stay away from using words like "So" as the first word in your line. It makes it seem like a very awkward situation. You should probably open up with a compliment, instead of a on the spot question. If you do ask question, you need to give them something to respond to.

"What school do you go to? I went/go to this school, but this year is really dragging on".

If you just say "Youre cute, what school do you go to?"

"Thanks! UCSF"

*crickets..*

Mello,

"'not really, no. *name of college*'"

"Oh, you go to x? I almost went there because I love the y near there so much. Do you ever do y or are you more into z?"

Stop trying to "open" and just ask her something about something in her profile you find interesting. If you don't find anything in her profile interesting, move on to someone where you do find something interesting about her profile.

Don't compliment her in your first message

Don't ask boring or generic questions

Do ask a directly answerable question

Do be funny

Remember, complimenting her is a no-no. All she reads is, "I want to see you naked teehehehe"

you gotta NEG bro, something like

"you must run a lot trying to lose that excess weight, what are your favorite routes to take?"
