Jkpoker10,

I don't think anyone is saying to blow it up and stop the fun but you are getting fed a lot of bullshit 100%. The things you are saying make you sound like an easy mark, so be careful.

Yea def I get that. I didn’t mean I think she loves me. I think she likes me I mean. I may have been drunk when posting that. I’ll see where it goes. I’ll have her visit nyc and then go to Medellin and see how her family and friends act around me etc.

I’m hoping she doesn’t ask me to pay for her flight to nyc. That would be a dealbreaker for me. She has a business job- I saw her work laptop and email- she’s an analyst. I’m sure she doesn’t get paid a lot in comparison to us type jobs but the fact she studied business makes me feel better about it like she isn’t a deadbeat per se. I saw her outlook and excel spreadsheets for work which looked like she has a decent job (always a positive). If she asked me to pay for her flight to nyc- I’ll prolly lol just give up on it. I’m hoping she won’t but idk. I’ll get a hotel and dinner but can’t do flying her in (if she cares, she will pay for flight at least).

Trying to crank out an article defending all the most hated foods by women on dating apps - anyone have suggestions/what they see frequently? This is what I have so far:

- pineapple on pizza
- chicken tenders
- Taco Bell (specifically bragging they've never had TB)
- vanilla ice cream
- Caesar salad
- Dunkin' coffee (probably limited to the Northeast crowd)
- chocolate

You mean women throwing themselves at you and/or being green card hunters? It's way more prevalent in Colombia and Peru, probably why I didn't enjoy dating there nearly as much as Mexico. Also, I wasn't trying to wife up any of those girls. I just had my fun with them and told them I was leaving in a couple weeks. They were still pissed at me b/c they thought they could win me over with sex/feminine wiles, but I just kinda laughed it off b/c I told them I was leaving, and then I did. What else can I do?

Jk, where did you visit in Mexico? If it was one of the big beaches, then I wouldn't really count it as visiting Mexico. I'm just curious where your travel experience is at. Medellin can be pretty awesome, depending what you're looking for, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a seasoned traveler, but I probably wouldn't recommend it as a first non-1st world destination.

One of the main issues is that post-Covid, Tinder girls and hookers are date-raping a lot of guys off Tinder and robbing them. A couple have even died b/c the girls misjudged the dose. You'll probably be fine if you have good street smarts. Just dress casual, not flashy, and if a drink leaves your sight, consider it compromised and get a new one.

Ha same. Had an ex who thought online poker was awesome, then 4 months in I get "why are you on your laptop 6-7 hours day?". Well I'm working, duh

In Mexico and Colombia, a "good" salary is like $600-800 a month and puts you above 90% of people. Did she pay her way to Vegas or did that other guy? If not, then I'd be surprised if she had the dough to drop on a NYC flight. A better gauge would be if you make it to Colombia, see if she's making an effort to pick up the bill occasionally for things more in her price range.

The only one of these I've seen regularly mentioned is pineapple on pizza, which many women apparently think is a personality trait.

I went to playa del Carmen and was in Cancun for a day. I met a girl in 2022 in vegas that was from playa so I went to visit her. She didn’t wanted a relationship bc of past experiences so I kinda just went away from her. This new chick is way hotter and more into my interests (gym, hiking etc) so it’s a win for me. I’ll have her go to nyc and then go to Medellin later this year to visit her. I will not bring my breitlings there and will dress super casual- maybe a few nice shirts to go out to dinner/ clubs with but nothing insane. I’ll go out with the chick and not look to pick up other girls so I feel it should be fairly safe (she has a professional type job so not too worried about her having bad intentions toward me). I’ll be super safe when I go- I don’t take risks in foreign countries (even with drinking- I tend to calm down on getting hammered + don’t really need to if I’m with a girl I’m pursuing).

I’ll see if she picks up bill. I like fine dining so I’m sure I’ll pay for nice dinners but that doesn’t really bother me bc I know prices will be lower. When I went to playa, I ate at Harry’s steakhouse and some other top notch restaurants- the prices weren’t too bad compared to top US fine dining imo. I’m the type of guy that doesn’t mind spending $200-300 for a dinner if it’s great + on vacation I budget for that. I assume she would pick up bill maybe for cheaper spots (I did research and saw Columbian women like to be paid for as they kinda have a backwards type culture though). She’s my gf now though so I assume she might pick up a cheap bfast bill etc. anyone wanna comment on how Medellin is different than Mexico (PDC). It seems from research, a gringo has to be careful with pulling out cellphone etc which is def odd. Should I not even bring a LV crossbody bag?

I never meet someone without having a very decent idea of how she is/behaves, I read a lot about psychology /dating
attachment patterns etc

I would strongly suggest anyone read some books about that, the money and time saved will be "giganormous"

The only city I wouldn't return to due to safety concerns that I've visited in all my travels would be Guatemala City. Although I have been reading more reports about date raping guys, so I probably wouldn't be as liberal with Tinder as I was the first time I visited.

I guess you could stay in El Poblado in Medellin or only hang out with your gf, but I would still exercise caution. Leave the fancy bags/jewelery at home, always Uber back if you're out somewhere late at night. Generally, look like you know where you're going. If you're standing around on your phone for a while, it makes you a target. Also take care of your phone in restaurants/cafes/bars, especially outdoor ones. If you set it on the table and take your eyes off it for a bit, it could be gone.

Text her in 9-10 days. If she doesn't answer back she was never into you.

It's a test to see if you'll jump through her hoops and keep her entertained through the workday and when she's bored by giving her attention.

If she's actually busy until then, she won't appreciate virtually any texting unless you're really good in it. She also wants to see if you're a clingy stalker type.

Literal tears from the "I could be a male model" comment.

Still trying to breathe normally.

I have one good friend from NYC who was an actual male model, 6' 4", superfit, the way you know if you could be one is if 4-5 hot girls a night come up to you in bars/clubs and make it very, very, very clear they are willing to sleep with you that evening at your place, their place, hotel, uber, etc.

Basic rule of thumb for British girls is the further north you go the less entitled they are. Overall they’re still (marginally) less fat than Americans

Never used bumble but any woman who ever has this type of thing in their dating profile is absolute torture to talk to.

Why do so many people care so much about what someone else eats? As a kid I put both salt and pepper on my french fries and people would freak out when they saw this. "You put pepper on your french fries?" Why do you care? I'm not making you eat it.

Weird too since pepper is fantastic on fries.

But yeah, I mostly agree. There are some lines that shouldn't be crossed though. Ketchup on a steak is just vile. You have to question someones ability to make quality decisions if their life has lead them to ketchup on steak.

Ketchup on eggs also is one that’s weird to me. People who douse everything in ketchup I immediately equate with a stupid child, but I guess it might not ALWAYS be like that.

Maybe once in a while one of them is a child of average intelligence with just horrible taste.

As far as adult children go, Ranch is the new ketchup. I have an equal hate for both and I used to love them before I cured my own ******ation
