2013-15 was pretty damn great for online apps/sites. IG/Snap, POF/OKC and then tinder & others. First one I tried was way back when years before in NYC before hardly anyone had heard of online dating on some long-gone site....got a nice relationship out of it.

Probably accurate in her case. I still think most men over the age of 30 are better off lying about their age.

Don't lie about your age, lol. I mean it may be 'good' for you but it's quite scummy.

You might get better short term results but "better off" seems like a stretch.

Just one example is getting banned for lying about your age, which sites will do. Getting fully excluded from an apps dating pool is significantly worse than being age locked.

Most women either don't care about age or prefer dating older men, they just want to avoid stereotypes of mid 30s man children and borderline predators. The real solution is to work out, dress better, and build a quality profile that conveys someone attractive.

Many women I see on apps once you open up 37+ are lying by decades about their age. Whenever I come across a "42" year old, 3 years older than me, who looks like she could be a grandmother the sus-meter goes into overdrive.

If you report them you might get them banned. Sites are significantly stricter against men as well. I'd also assume women are significantly more likely to report something than men are, but thats just a guess.

still see a lot of women saying ‘I’m actually XX and I can’t change it’ in their profile, trying to make out they entered their age wrong when they signed up lol. Naturally they always seem to err on the younger side

It's wrong of them to lie, too.

Never do this. Make no mention of it in your profile.

Any Vegas residents here have any success with Tinder and Bumble?
Other than hookers and fatties I can't get any decent matches.

I killed it when I lived in Atlanta.

Vegas is rough for free Tinder. High density, probably the highest competition on earth, limited time to hook up with tourists, locals usually want no parts of tourists.

It's a tough game of chase.

Yeah I canceled my Tinder subscription, got Bumble premium for a couple months more but it sucks hard.

I'm looking to meet locals only, although not as consistent as I would like I pull tourists at clubs.

I do all those things. I've also seen my results as a fit, attractive man listing my actual age as opposed to listing it 6-8 years younger. It's night and day. It would be so difficult to list my true age after having sex with multiple 19 year olds at age 34 by lying.

Lol I've seen this at least 100 times and not once were they actually younger than they listed.

As a man living in NYC during 2013-2015, it was freaking awesome. Dating apps were just taking off but it wasn't over saturated, and women weren't as jaded about the apps as they are now. Easy to get matches, and most converted to dates.

Now I live in L.A. and struggle to get matches even though I look better now than back then. The matches rarely respond and converting to dates is extremely hard.

Problem is that apps have become over saturated, and there's simply too much volume, with women having numerous choices to choose from. In addition, with the rise of IG, many women prefer messaging a guy on IG rather than going through apps.

How do they find a guy in their city on IG?

Lot of dating profiles will have their IG username on there. So if a woman is interested she will just DM the guy rather than wasting time on apps. And it's common for people to sneak into DMs of profiles they find attractive. IG has become a dating app and the choice of women below the age of 30.

Perfect icebreaker for after you greet a girl on the first date at a busy bar when you’ve arrived first

‘I’m glad you saw me ok. Yesterday I was walking down the street and I saw a woman ahead waving at me. I got closer and she said, ‘oh sorry, I thought you were someone else.’

I said to her, ‘I am.’

Confirmed works every time

TBF, given the effects of wearing all black, she could be referring to her BMI

Oddly enough, I ran into her IRL a day after posting that as we're apparently members of the same local movie meetup group. There were ~30 of us & she stayed on the periphery when we all were talking about the movie outside after. She didn't look 47 or 35 - somewhere in between (but definitely was in all-black)

I just got back on, hope to find better luck. I’m finding the average girl definitely hotter than the average Tinder girl when I was last on that a couple months ago. Did not seem like I got all that many swipes to start, so that’s not the best sign.

Lol, app BS is so exhausting…
