Antacids? This sounds ridiculous. If you are yanking our collective chain congrats, etc., otherwise get serious.

Of course you should exercise. Unless perhaps you used to run 8 miles a day and work out obsessively? That is often part of anorexia nervosa.

Pyschwise not every disease reads the textbook, so don't quibble over missing aspects of a diagnosis when u clearly have a major problem. Get help. If they won't give it to you, get a different doctor.
No to all of that. Also no to the excessive excersize. The impression I got from the Docs (3 different ones) was that the problem was mental. They all reached this conclusion pretty quickly. I had one blood test done, i think it was to check to see if i was anaemic, which came back fine.

Thanks for the advice of course but i'm not sure i'm in a position to march down to my local GP and demand all these tests when a bunch of them have spent a considerable amount of time with me/know my medical history etc and deemed them unnecessary. I mean, I guess I could but meh, seems a bit 'MY HUNCH IS RIGHT UR ALL WRONG AND I BASE THIS ON NOTHING AT ALL'

found the first link interesting until I read this. uggg

The two doctors complement each other well. Porter is a purist. He insists on bed rest during the diet and on maximizing one's milk intake. Macfadden acknowledges that an exclusive milk diet without bed rest will still be effective in treating nearly all diseases. He provides a framework for using the diet to cure obesity but limiting your milk intake. Both books are must-reads.

You could also have an infection in your blood. When's the last time they did any blood work on you? Sounds a lot like low red blood cell count. Anemic maybe?

I'm not a doctor, but I play one on this forum.

if i didnt care about dropping to the inevitable 110lb i would not drink milk
Start working out/running. You'll want to eat everything in sight.

You put on 25 lbs. drinking 1-1.5 gallons of milk a day and consuming maybe 500 calories of food? How long did that take? I'm 5'11" and really skinny as well, usually drink a gallon of milk a day and consume 1k-1500 calories on the side, but not near as much success as you putting on weight.

Not if you don't play by far your best match of the tournament so far.

Do you need a referral to go straight to a GI doc? Don't know exactly how the NHS works.

I really think it would be worth your time and money to get an endoscopy. I think part of the deal with your previous doctor visits is that you are framing this as a psych issue rather than a progressive dysphagia.

Sounds to me like you possibly have achalasia or an esophageal mass/obstruction. I think your symptoms definitely warrant a GI workup especially with white stool.

this sounds more like some kind of version of OCD to me tbh, or maybe a food phobia.

random stupid idea from me:

olive oil, chug half a cup every now and then, it's pretty much tasteless, takes 5 seconds to do, and insta-dumps ~1000 calories into your system

I wouldn't do it everyday, but just as an extra tool to have at your disposal on particularly lazy low calorie consumption days

Why not gradually introduce protein powder into the milk. And one small meal a day for a time then a snack then another meal etc etc.
