A couple days ago in a live game I turned a straight into a bluff on the river and successfully bluffed someone off of a full house. Pretty sure that will be the sickest bluff I ever make and, with the possible exception of the famous Phil Ivey 6bet or w/e pre-flop bluff, may be the sickest bluff I ever see in Holdem.

How many BB's? Was it a double paired board?

I might get the amounts a little wrong ... but I'll try:


We were playing 2/5 and I had a little over $900 and he covered me.

PRE-FLOP (I have AJo):

I raised to like 25 or something ... he had either limp/called or called from the blinds (I think he called from the blinds).


FLOP: QTT R

He checks, I bet like 35 or something. He raises to like 85. I could fold but we're quite deep and I thought a raise here made little sense and I could float and win later sometimes UI ... plus of course I do have the GS. I called.

TURN: QTT K (2 diamonds)

He bet something ... maybe like $170 or something (I forget). I thought and was deciding between calling and raising since I hit the straight. I called.


RIVER: QTT K Q (third diamond)

He bet like $265. I think I had something like $400 to $475 to behind. I thought for a little bit. I could easily fold as that card ruined my hand ... and that was my immediate reaction ... damn, I gotta fold now. But then I thought about it .... unlikely for him to have a Q ... a T perhaps. I thought for a bit. I eventually got myself to say all-in (almost immediately after I said it I thought to myself: damn, that was dumb) .... ah but really I was thinking it is very unlikely he has a Q ... and I can have a Q pretty easily if he's thinking about it ... and he does seem to have a T. But it was live and I don't know too too much about him hence why I was like, "that was dumb" right after I did it.

But he thought for a little bit and then folded. The hand was talked about. A while later he did say he had a T and I believe him ... I don't know what else he could have had.

This was actually a pretty nice guy. Like 30 minutes before this hand he said he was heading down to the pizza place and asked if anybody wanted anything. He came back with a whole pizza and we all ate it and he refused money and he got none of it. He went back again to get a few slices for himself.

Though earlier in the night he stacked me for $700 when my KK ran into his quad 4's.
