I have played on Americas Card Room for the past few months. Over that time I have been one of the larger rakers on the site and have paid a lot of additional rake to the bad beat jackpot. I am writing this here to let other potential customers know that unfortunately this company is not honoring the rules they have set forth for this bad beat jackpot. The rules clearly state on their website that a qualifying hand must use both hole cards for both players and that four eights or better must be beaten. The hand pasted at the bottom of this post qualifies by all of the rules however the site is refusing to pay out. They have admitted that my hand qualifies and that it should be paid out however they say that they cannot pay me since their software was not catching these types of hands and therefore there were others before me that have not been paid. If they pay me out like they are supposed to they are worried that they will have to pay others that come forward. To add to this already stressful situation they have also handled it poorly in other ways. There has been a lack of communication throughout the last couple of weeks as I have tried to resolve the issue with them and they also at one time told me that the jackpot was going to be paid out and then went back on it soon after. I think it should be known that this company is not paying out based on their rules and that others should be wary that they too may pay all this money to this company to take part in these promotions just to not be paid out when they legitimately win. Here is the hand in question:

Since kristel SAS had an ace, it does seem like a jackpot should have been awarded here. Four jacks with an ace kicker got beat by a royal flush, correct? I would like to see a response from ACR Rep concerning this matter. Good luck, and please keep us updated.

If the other player is not holding a pocket pair and then proceeds to make quads, it does not count. Sorry, they would have had to be holding JJ .

Looks like that hand doesnt qualify to me, anyway im lookin to join a site. havent played since black friday and have seen every site have huge problems that have made me hesitant to deposit money anywhere. it seems as though my money would be safe on this site, fast payouts, good enough software and the biggest problem is traffic? would really appreciate some feedback from other current players on this site. PM or right here whatever works for you. just want some feedback.

Where does it say that? Only thing it says is that both cards in the hand must be used in order to qualify. Both cards play in this instance.

I agree that other sites, in the past, have had this stipulation, but there is nothing that says anything close to that on the BBJ promotion page.

http://www.americascardroom.eu/portf...-beat-jackpot/

It actually does.

"In order to qualify the losing hand must contain four eights (8888) or better. IMPORTANT: The player beaten with quads must contain the pair in his hole cards. Quads beat by having three of one type on the board and one card in the hand does not qualify."

this was just changed. i have a screenshot of the rules as they were which i will post when i figure out how that works.

edit: and the fact that they changed it even more so makes it obvious that they owe the money.

I multi table 50nl and 100nl with the occasional 200nl and there seems to be a decent amount of available tables at these levels. 400nl seems fine for 6-max only and I have very rarely seen a 600nl table going.

Agreed that it is obvious that they added the new stipulation after the fact (the example they use is the exact hand that occurred, lol).

I've always sort of assumed that you needed the pair in your hand for it to count, but it is a vague situation given that this wasn't spelled out and that the ace did indeed play in the 5 card hand. Idk..

They have admitted that the hand should qualify and they only do not want to pay me because no one else noticed it before and they do not want to have to pay other people who didn't spot it in the past. Not a very good way to run a company.

According to this screenshot, it does appear that your hand is eligible. Does being eligible mean they have to pay though?

Scumbag move by ACR really. Forcing everyone to pay bbj rake and then refusing to pay out when someone hits it, and even trying to cover it up after. Pay him the amount according to the time he won it and how much was in the bbj at that time, and then put the new rule into effect.

Anyone else having problems opening multiple cash tables? While starting a session today I got this message: "you can only view 6 real money tables at once. To enter a new game please close one of your open tables and try again."
At that point I was playing in 3 games and sitting alone at 3 other tables. It would not let me open another table that was starting short handed. This has to be a glitch of some sort right? Why would ACR want to limit the ability to start tables?

Tried another session, this time only dealing with active tables. Even having 6 tables open and playing on all of them, I was not allowed to open another cash table.

"They" have admitted...as in multiple representatives of the company? Or just the initial person you talked to?

Hey ACR players - why do so many of you sit at the "short" versions of your NL tables where you can only buy in for half the normal max buy in? You are really just playing the next lowest limit but paying for blinds that cost twice as much. You're not getting your money's worth because you're only getting the chance to win half the money that you could otherwise in a normal version table....but paying twice the blinds. May as well play pot limit...or limit.... 0.o

go away "short" tables

I have it in writing them telling me that Lee (in charge of the BBJ stuff) and the customer service manager said that the hand qualifies and that it will be paid out.
