Haven't even tried to play since BF. Is it relatively easy to get back playing even though I may or may not live in MA?

It's not difficult at all IMHO.

I saw before people said BetOnline catered to MD, but then saw some threads questioning their integrity. Have they gotten more reliable, and are they still an option as well?

BetOnline does have a sour reputation in the past. They claim new management now, but many of us still don't trust them yet.

Getting an invitation is doable, but you have to know one of the few people who still can invite US players.

I was burnt by Lock so looking for the safest US room.

Seems like Intertops is that what I want. But where do I find these people who are able to invite me there?
Ready to provide any docs for verification...etc.

Unfortunately you would need to know someone already. That's the point of the invitation system really. To keep out randoms There are other reputable rooms servicing the US market.

Thinking about getting back into online poker. Are any of these sites compatible with Windows 95?

I sincerely doubt any rooms are compatible with a 20 year old operating system.

Hello All!

I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere already.

I currently 4 table the $10.60 Super Turbos on Bovada. I am looking to play more than this, and obviously cannot while playing only on Bovada.

I have looked at a couple of the other US friendly sites (ACR and 888) and they both have horrendous Sit n Go traffic. Are there any other US friendly sites that would allow me to add an extra 2-4 around this buy in level?

Thanks a lot!

At this point in time I'd say Carbon or Aced would be your best bet with the skins on WPN slowly catching up.

US player here. So many options. I know people are going to blow me off for not reading the entire wealth of this board, I've read a LOT of it -- just interested in opinions.

i am on bovada and already cashed out with them , very happy about that. ive also been on ACR, but since i was unable to cash out, I went ahead and sold what I had run up from $50 for amazon points.

I am very happy with that site (my god it feels stars-level) but want ot have a back up. It looks like the re-emergence of merge (pun not intended) is pretty compelling -- but so many options! bitcoin poker? some secret society called intertops that is speakeasy-like in its difficulty of entry? upstart network like equity? go back to ACR but instead play BCP and just sell my winnings agiain?

I'm interested in thoughts. Particularly fo rsomeone who is trying to focus on tournaments mostly right now. Sit and goes are a big plus but not necessary.

what would your two choics aside from Bovada be and if you really want to help me out, why?

what state are you in? the first post in the thread can help a bit.

merge is a good option for tournament players. if you're already on bovada and wpn (acr/bcp), they have some too. not sure why you couldn't cash out on acr, but that is fixable or you can always sell your money via p2p transfer.

if you have the bankroll and are trying to focus on game selection, spread it across a couple sites to get more tourneys and etc that way.

For a lower stakes novice player focusing on MTTs with a splash of SNG, I recommend in this order:

  1. Bovada
  2. Merge
  3. WPN

There's really no reason you should be unable to cash out from ACR or BCP....

Playing $5.50 Turbos on Carbon. You will be able to add 1-2 SnG there.
But I think you will see the difference cause the tables are not anonymous and almost all players have notes and stats at your level.

And is 888 US-friendly? I remember I played there before BF and it was really profitable.

No, 888 is only friendly to < 2% of the US population... and on a segregated set of networks that do not share ROW liquidity.

What state are you in?
What stakes do you play?
Cash games, mtt, or sitngo?

It might be easier to ask for sites to avoid here.

Avoid Lock Poker, they are dishonest and do not pay their players. Beyond that, you have many choices of US facing networks that are honest and do pay their players winnings. Try reading the first post in this thread for more information.

PS- the bovada RNG is a joke
lolz, i will say otherwise. its no pokerstars but there is still plenty of action. just played a $100 DON on merge, $100 Super turbo, many other sngs at the $25 - $35 level. mtts, hell not sure how u can complain about those between Merge, WPN, and Bovada. i would say there are a few $215s across the board in that regard, 2 or 3 a night. and then plenty of other action.

i have no idea what im talking about though, only been playing online since pry 03, 05 professionally.

also, it has now been 3 years since black friday and i have been paid every check i have requested; cashin checks and i'm biggin up my chest
