So Bovada doesn't work in NY? Specifically Brooklyn area but it doesn't let me sign up. Anyone else have trouble with this from NY? What would be the next best site to go to?

You didn't say, but it looks like you are a NLHE cash player. Depending on the type of volume you put in, you may enjoy Merge (Carbon/Aced, PokerHost), Winning Poker Network (ACR, True, BCP), or Intertops.

Intertops (which is invite only for US players) on the Revolution Network is available to Maryland players currently. Seals With Clubs is also available as a bitcoin deposit/withdrawal option. That's it at the moment according to my latest research - and just re-confirmed with an Intertops rep that if invited, players from Maryland are accepted.

Yes it is not conceptually different to work with btc BUT the problem is in its unsteadiness. Pounds, Euros or eve Rupees - they can't loose 50% of their value in 1-2 days but bitcoins can.

So I think coins are great for micro-bankrolls but they can't be used by serious players with $x,xxx+ deposits.

Is there anywhere to play LHE in New York? My understanding is sites like Bovada do not allow NY state residents. There seem to be some sites that allow it, but they are small and likely don't have limit games running.

You don't think there are many people with $x,xxx+ worth of BTC? BTC market cap is 8B. Personally, I trust my money sitting in BTC exponentially more than letting it sit on any poker site that accepts US players.

Nothing like Bovada traffic. Depends how many games and what stakes you want to play...

I'm a $2/5 NL pro in florida who's thinking about getting some online experience. I'm planning to make a small deposit ($500ish) to play online and grind a small profit while learning how to beat online. Are there actually any sites that consistently release money for US players? I have no plans to deposit and withdraw after winning, but if i grind up and have a decent amount of money online i'd be pretty pissed if I couldn't get it. I did a search of this forum for "best site online US players" and got nothing. Any advice?

It really isn't hard to google this in all honesty and it is shocking that you couldn't. I'd go with bovada though since you are unable to navigate the interwebz.

Nobody here can guarantee the future safety of your funds on an offshore unregulated poker site.

That $500 deposit aint really much at all either. You should probably give bovada a try first.. i would avoid the guys with the huds and you can avoid that for the most part over there. There payout history is prob the best and longest of your choices also.

You're trolling a guy for asking where he can play, in a thread titled, "Where can US players play".

The Sausage King of Chicago has been on my bad list since he called the cops on me that day I mistook him for a miscreant youth.

When you see someone asking questions in this thread like "Are there actually any sites that consistently release money for US players", and saying that they've searched the forums and found nothing, there's a very good chance that they started a new thread in spite of the presence of this sticky, and then a mod merged it. Looking at the title of their post is the first thing to check, and if you do so in this case, you'll see that indeed he did start a new thread called "Best site US player", and the guy you're criticizing had replied in that thread before it was merged here.

My mistake, I'm on the mobile phone app and it doesn't list that he had started an entire thread for that question.

Intertops sucks balls. Won't let you transfer to people without playing volume. I've literally raked $1ks theres and now they want me to play to turn back on my transfers. Min $50 to withdrawal. Micro roll trapped on this crappy site. I won't rake a $1 here again. EAD tops. Terrible site.

Trying to come back after BF. I've considered Intertops as one of the best and was going to find an invitation hmmm.

Seems like Bovada and Carbon are the leaders now, right? I plan to start at NL10 6max.
And I don't trust any ...coins. It seems like it will be shut down by FBI very soon since this "payment system" is used by very bad guys due to its anonymity.

Shutting down the main exchangers will be enough. And it is really simple to arrest their bank accounts or suspend the operations from the certain accs.

And if it is not anonymous - why it is so popular then? This feature makes it popular. And it is used not only by US poker players but also by all criminals. That's why it is not my choice.

All transactions are posted and if you can get access to the places that do supposedly obfuscate the trail (which I'd bet they can of they wanted to) you can still track every single transaction.

All criminals usually use US dollars as well. In fact, that's what they convert the BTC to once they are paid with it. This is way off topic, I won't derail further.
