I was really wondering what they would do w the bbj if they retroactively awarded it in this case, it would be cheating players after the win out of bbj ev. Considering they basically are paying the bbj twice, by keeping it at its same level, bet online should be praised for this action.

I'm sitting here, so happy for this guy I don't even know him, but just glad that a company did the right thing and went by the spirit of the rules not the letter.

And then someone comes in here and makes a valid point about a smaller but still-significant amount of money. 2p2ers are so frickin smart.

Hopefully they factored in the pot size in the settlement.

Even if they didn't, all good as OP says.

Now they simply need to modify their rules so that this never happens to anyone again.

What angry mob? The letters sent to BOL were anything but angry. Some people here were ranting and raving, but that is 2+2 members. A total of 0 poker sites have caved to angry ranting to any real consequence.

BOL did the very best thing here for the players involved and the site. Hard to believe anyone could find an issue with how they acted, yet....here you are.

Also, I played on BOL from 2015-2020 and generally was happy with the site. Payouts were good to great, software is good, and their new straddle PLO tables were a lot of fun. I recently moved into a regulated market so switched to a new site. I preferred it to other unregulated options. Their VIP points theft and lack of rakeback/rewards were the biggest negatives with the site. When I left a couple of months ago, I had over 3mm VIP Points or something silly.

Also, MCA is one of the good guys. He was always super helpful on the forums.

Read through everyones post on here/twitter/insta everywhere and I just want to say thank you. I think Joey is gonna have me on to talk sometime and I will be donating 5% to any charity of his choice once I cash out the majority of money. I get this may take a bit of time but I will post receipts. If Joey doesn't give me a charity I'll come back here to figure one out. Still in disbelief but really thanks to everyone
