Where have you read this? Seems very unlikely that non-us players will be punished for the mess in the US.

For those that are asking, yes, I was told that the sites will be down even where the sites currently legal. Only the 3 though (AP/FTP/PS)

Typical govt:

Shut down Paypal/Netteller, forcing sites to more shady methods

When those methods are used, bring down the hammer

It's almost like there would have been no fraud if we weren't forced to act like criminals in the first place!

THE SITES ARE BEING SHUT DOWN INTERNATIONALLY. WHAT DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND. EVERYONE IS AFFECTED.

Has any US player tried to do a Wire Transfer to their bank account?

gg stars and tilt

By late 2009, after U.S. banks and financial institutions detected and shut down multiple fraudulent bank accounts used by the Poker Companies, SCHEINBERG and BITAR developed a new processing strategy that would not involve lying to banks. PokerStars, FullTilt Poker, and their payment processors persuaded the principals of a few small, local banks facing financial difficulties to engage in such processing in return for multi-million dollar investments in the banks. For example, in September 2009, ELIE and others approached defendant JOHN CAMPOS, the Vice Chairman of the Board and part-owner of SunFirst Bank, a small, private bank based in Saint George, Utah, about processing Internet poker transactions. While expressing "trepidations," CAMPOS allegedly agreed to process gambling transactions in return for a $10 million investment in SunFirst by ELIE and an associate, which would give them a more than 30% ownership stake in the bank. CAMPOS also requested and received a $20,000 "bonus" for his assistance. In an e-mail, one of ELIE’s associates boasted that they had "purchased" SunFirst and that they "were looking to purchase" "a grand total of 3 or 4 banks" to process payments.

They were trying to buy banks i loled. Stars and tilt were working together....lol'd even more

But withdrawing on the site isn't the problem. It's if you get the cheque/wire transfer, and if it's legit.
when did u request withdraw?

i requested but hasn't been confirmed yet, did it 20min ago tho

Sooooo, what about daughter sites like PokerStars.FR?
04-15-2011 , 06:23 PM
It has been reported on twitter that all sites in question will be completely offline in 48hrs. So don't think everything tom dwan says is true. Online is dead, D-Day, black friday what ever you want to call it.

I would think so. It seems like the charges are against individual people in the 3 big sites. So what is everyone flipping out about? Just play at Lock, Titan, or one of the other online sites.

It just gets denied after 30 minutes.

Should I even ATTEMPT a cashout from PS or is it wiser to let it sit?
04-15-2011 , 06:24 PM
I have been keeping my roll on PStars in Canadian dollars for the last six months as I saw that it was trending higher against the declining US dollar probably because of huge deficits, the spend thrift US President, and rising commodity prices.

Don't know it it will help, but I doubt any US dollar withdrawals will be allowed for years.

This is just like a chapter from "Atlas Shrugged." Don't elect fascistically-minded socialists because they think your money is theirs and you are just holding it for them until they want it back.
