Meh..this should surprise no one. I've always lol'd at the people who announce themselves as poker pros as if they were going to be able to (or want to) do this for the next 30 years. Even if this does become "legalized", it seems it would be on a state by state basis (I could be wrong) in which the players wouldnt be 200,000 (Stars), but maybe 4k-10k. Good luck in the
3k guaranteed tourneys.
There was some young poker "pro" on here not too long ago that made this ridiculous claim that taking bad beats online somehow enabled him to handle real life beats "better than most". Game over.
My heart does go out to the people who were making a living playing this game. However, use this as a wake up call. Get a real profession and use poker as a hobby. This could be a blessing in disguise for a helluva lot of supposed "poker pros" on here.

You're ridiculous. How would emotional control in one arena not transfer to another?

uggghh..thats one of the main reasons i didnt play online..was cause it was so damn hard/long to cash out..

we'll get through this..

but technically cant we get convicted for money laundering if we use the "harder" ways of cashing out instead of the site?

When you're 22 or so and making announcements like you know/can handle everything because you click buttons for 10 hours a day....well you tell me how this is not ridiculous.

Look, the average player probably has about $200-$500 on their account, the high stakes player is probably going to get some money back. I can't see Tom Dwan not getting his money back, it's us regular players that should have known better, because we are the ones that probably will get screwed. If you were leaving $1000 on there and you used that to pay rent, you should have thought smarter is what I was saying. Full Tilt isn't your bank! Those high stakes players will get their money back and if they can't they really aren't worried. But if you were a grinder leaving your food, rent, bill...money on a POKER site, you just learned a valuable life lesson.

I wonder if that 17 year who FT'd the 11Million sunday mill still expects to get his money

sorry too, a bit wound up... can't believe this is happening, and more mad at myself at the fact that I..we all should have known that this was absolutely going to happen. US government was pretty clear of their position when they booted PartyPoker, right?

Sick variance for PS and FT IMO.
