Care to bet?
really not interested in betting.

Andrew Feldman from ESPN first tweeted:

According to @GamblingComp, all the indicted sites, around the world, will be down within 48 hours. #gg about 6 hours ago via web

For those that are asking, yes, I was told that the sites will be down even where the sites currently legal. Only the 3 though (AP/FTP/PS) about 6 hours ago via web

then:

Eric Morris publisher of Bluff Magazine was also just on the Quadjacks broadcast and said he heard from a very reputable source that Stars would shutdown completely in the coming days.

They cant pay the USA players.
The worst thing you can do is withdraw your money.

This is because u downloaded from .net and not .com, .net only offers paly money games so they can advertise without breaking any gambling laws.

Not a great time to be arguing for us to reduce taxes, but let's not venture too much into unrelated politics, please.

If the only way we can play is if it's taxed, then so be it.

✖ PokerStars has also suspended US real money play and changed the default URL on its associated sites to PokerStars.eu. Money transfers have also been disabled. ESPN’s Andrew Feldman is speculating that the affected poker sites will shut down across the globe within 48 hours.

If Interpol starts seizing assets -- umm? If it were me, doesn't look good for the rest of the world...

And the interesting part is, they turn their backs on him and turn him into the feds, so he is now facing federal charges. Is it really THAT weird that he in return makes a deal with the feds to be free and keep his money, if he tells them everything he knows about these sites and their crimes, which he does.

I would do the exact same thing too, and I'd be willing to bet house that everyone in this thread would too. If your boss hires you to do a job, and you do that job enormously well and makes your boss a fortune, and he thanks you by giving you up to the feds and makes you face 20+ years jailtime and total bankruptcy UNLESS you tell him what you know, you wouldn't tell them everything you know?
without poker rooms relying on services provided by Tzvetkoff and other like him, i.e. bogus payment processors, US players would have stopped playing online poker in 2006 and not just now.

Any suggestions on what to do with my bodog roll? I know the site is still up and running and they weren't named in the indictment. My concern is if the check they send me comes from one of the off shore banks that had its assets frozen by the DOJ

lol that made me laugh, well played. Unlike her, I actually play poker from time to time so I used that phrase naturally, she just did it to spite the poker community.

"On the Isle of Man we make sure that all licensee's have a system in place which fully protects all player funds. This means that any deposits or winnings you have with an island regulated gaming firm are secure and can be enforced by law"

does this mean anything?

Bodog was the first site I ever played on. I miss those days. I'm afraid to go back. I haven't played there in years really. I would be afraid to deposit to be honest.

any non-US player can withdraw their money safely on moneybookers for example. that's a fully legit payment processor and has nothing to do with what's happening right now. It works like this: FTP/Stars has their own moneybookers account from witch they send $$ to your moneybookers account.
moneybookers is unavailable in US

I bet Anurag Dik**** is happy he got off with a $300 million fine and a year's probation back in the day. Seems like a decent deal all of a sudden.
