Reuters: Full Tilt Poker, Pokerstars and Absolute Poker charged with illegal gambling Reuters: Full Tilt Poker, Pokerstars and Absolute Poker charged with illegal gambling

On the fulltilt.com FBI seizure warning, it says:

"For persons engaged in the business of betting or wagering, it is also a federal crime to knowingly accept, in connection with the participation of another person in unlawful Internet gambling, credit, electronic fund transfers, or checks. (31 U.S.C. ll 5363 and 5366)"

Is this to mean that even if our funds were made available, that it would be illegal to receive them??

What about Cake/Merge/Bodog/AP - they are def not worth enough to be able to help a bank in crisis. How did they manage to process transactions?
Dont have to be big imo, any business was/is good for the banks

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York is working with foreign law enforcement agencies and Interpol to secure the arrest of these defendants and the seizure of criminal proceeds located abroad
Yeah, US problem only. Get real for a moment.

Sadly, I don't envision a future for Full Tilt or Stars in the U.S. market.
+1 cant imagine what some of the grinders and pros are thinking now

It had the exact same message as this one. And several online news outlets reported it indeed was taken over by the feds.
it was atdhe.net but it works again . They just changed to .com and now you can watch everything live again

Well since I'm not an American I might be completely wrong here because of my very limited knowledge in American law, but as far as I know the online poker thing isn't deemed as illegal right? So I don't think the players should be worried about the funds.

IF, (and this is the ABSOLUTE worst case scenario) the DOJ would say that all the players are guilty of something illegal and therefore they will confiscate all their funds across these sites, we are talking in the many billions, and many peoples lives completely ruined. This would of course be truly horrible, but I don't think we'll ever get to that, so just sit tight and hope your money clears as fast as possible. However it might take a while because, as someone stated previously, when Neteller had to seize their business in the US after UIGEA, the money was tied up for 6 months, so this might be longer than that. We'll probably get the answers we are looking for within the next week or two.

A short, short while ago...
I hardly can remember
How dem Pokerz used to make me smile.
And I knew that I had the odds
To make those donkeys lose most pots
And, maybe, they’d be tilted for a while.

But April 15th made me shiver
With every bad beat I’d deliver.
Bad news, tWas my last coinflip
I couldn’t win one more chip.

I can remember, yes I cried
When I read not only UB lied
And something touched me deep inside
The day teh pokerz died.

So bye-bye, hundred dollar re-buy
Played my ID to the FT,
But the cashout was dry.
And them good old live pros will be glad I play high
Singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die. (Of boredom)
"this’ll be the day that I dye." (My hair, to look younger in boring live
games)

One thing i'm wondering. For those that somehow managed to get MB credited, does that mean they really got the money? Hard to explain because english isn't my first language but I mean, is it possible MB instantly credit your account because PS is considered "trustful" to them but once the money is supposed to really transits, like a few days later, the transfert bounces and MB remove the money from your account since PS processors are blocked and it never got there in the first place?
if it's on MB then you have it! They do not work like that.. so if you have money on MB, it's real and u can withdraw it.

Citizens get screwed as always. The gvt could have had the money had it legalized and taxed the sites. Now they are gonna spend loads on the investigation and processes.
Conservative Christians and their war on everything.

1. Well, I wouldn't pay anything to get into any tournaments as of now, people are having difficulties withdrawing 50 bucks, imagine if that was 500k. Also, I FEEL for the americans who paid lots of money for satellites to qualify into major tournaments and now they won't be able to play them at all. Sickening

2. You haven't lost any money as of yet, you might not be able to withdraw the money immediately because of the panic-withdrawals that are happening and the fact that these companies probably don't have all the money liquid at all times, so you will probably have to wait. I'd just wait until things settle.
