I love when people do that, as if the qualifier just erases what follows it. "No offense but you're the ugliest person I've ever seen in my life."

Whenever someone begins a sentence with "No offense, but...", you can guarantee the rest of the sentence will be offensive.

dwan has enjoyed the external benefits of the challenge - increased notoriety and FTP sponsorship - but hasn't incurred the internal costs - losses playing, losses via the sidebet and reputational harm from losing.

while there's some chatter ITT and elsewhere, it doesn't feel the community has yet branded him a scumbag. delay while studying or otherwise would be at least related to the challenge. instead, it looks like he's just infinitely stalling. jungleman wastes his time pursuing what should occur already by agreement and loses the benefit of having access to his 500k and the very likely additional 1.5MM. even the laziest or most risk-averse investor could do a lot with 2MM, and both of these players deserve a resolution here so that this money can stop being held in perpetual escrow (if it even is...).

Dwan doesn't owe $1 million. If you are referring to what he owes Jungle if he loses it's 1.5 and if you are talking about what he promised on Twitter, that was if FTP didn't pay back, but they did and the people you should be angry at right now is the GCG.

And why shouldn't he engage in a little mild **** talking? It's not like he hasn't backed it up. It's not like Dwan hasn't talked **** of his own. I seem to remember something like "I think it's cute that you think you have an edge over me" prior to the start of the challenge.

Given his utter angle shooting and avoidance, this makes Dwan look like a super douche, built from parts of lesser douches.

i remember I lent my boy $50 at a poker game and he always came up with excuses not to pay me. So instead of beating about the bush, everytime I saw him, I would say "are you still being a deadbeat to me". He would say yea, and I would continue on doing whatever we were doing.

It got fun because I started to say it in front of people, and they started giving him crap over it. Always playful on m part, but other people got offended by what he was doing to me.

Long story short, if dwan makes a comment about the challenge, we should just quote it instantly and call him a liar. Dont wait for the timeline to expire or anything just call him a liar ASAP. After all he has mentioned the schedule before and not followed thru.

I don't get why the judges don't simply fine durrr a certain amount each week to be paid to jungleman - if jungleman wants to play the 4k hands a week or whatever amount was agreed upon (iirc there was an amount?), and durr doesn't, until play is resumed at a reasonable pace...

He didn't even escrow the money so good luck getting him to pay a fine.

I see, haven't really followed it though so didn't know. But why not get the judges to make a final judgement, make a big thread on 2p2 that gives durrr an ultimatum and go from there. I mean I'm sure he cares about his reputation enough to pursue it then.

well there is a thread in HSNL thats called the official durrrr jungleman thread in which the problem is adressed and durrrr agrees to play (as he does since years). and there is the current and augusts HSNL threads in which he basically doesn't respond.

he didn't escrow so it's gonna be tough to get more hands in or to forfeit the sidebet even though the mediators ZeeJustin, ike (and Ivey) are supposed to regulate the challenge.

Jungleman mentioned in that interview the new rules regarding the durrrr challenge would be posted very soon, wonder what they are? Presumed they would be up by now.
