Tunica used to be a great stop on the WPT back in 2003-05. Every big name was there.

there are reasons why one would fold a set.... four card flush on the board? or maybe a four card straight going on? or maybe you had bottom set and thought someone had a higher set? you simply state you folded for being at an aggressive table with lots of action and the players had big stacks... why not explain the action of this particular hand to bring to light the "rest" of the story (paul harvey) LOL. or are you one of the ones looking for a refund? i dont blame anyone for trying...

if the dge is advising thee order than this is probably the hold up, lawyers on both sides conversing. gaming is big revenue in nj so they dont want to have it where these mtts dont exist due to high costs of running them, yet they need to prevent this from happening again. lusardi may get off easy, who knows? in some states its automatically long sentences. they probably just want to have something in place so the players can feel safe at these events.

Just texted the Borgata VP today, he said the DGE told him they expect to make a decision this Friday. Of course we were told the same thing last week. Keep our fingers crossed

I said it already ITT and I'll say it again: the correct settlement to this debacle is to refund roughly 5$ to each entrant: this is the amount of equity that they lost when 1% extra chips were introduced. The 27 finalists should play on as if nothing had happened (since they got the 5$ compensation like everyone). Alternatively, an ICM chop is acceptable.

Parx casino started counting high value chips during dinner brake for big tournament after borgata incidence .I just checked chip count from day 1a and day 1b of currently going on Parx Big 1500 tourney .

They did the same thing for the 300. They had 1800 players or so not exactly small.

That is small compared to Borgata standards.

The lack of a resolution this long after the tournament was cancelled is simply inexcusable.

"We need to discuss this with our lawyers/commission/dog/priest whatever" excuse buys them 3 days in this era of real time communication.

It has been months....

I promise you this. If a player cheated them and took THEIR money, they would not wait months to decide what to do. But here borgata literally has ZERO incentive I guess to resolve this, because, well, they are holding the money, letting it earn interest for them.

They unfortunately derive zero benefit out of deciding this sooner than later, other than good will and reputation, but as the average posts per day in this thread continue to dwindle, the PR issue means very little as well, I think.

I can't blame borgata entirely as NJDGE is holding out the investigation. Unless they both are working together !!

I know Borgata thinks it can just open the doors and the players will come on running. And for the most part they are right.

But if this is still outstanding next month I would guess (and hope) that the attendance in the BSO drops around 15% even with the presence of the WPT.

I really do not need the Borgata. And after this, I wont step foot in the place. During the tournament it took 2 hours to get a water from the wait staff. Really? I don't need the bad customer service with the negligent running of their poker tournaments. No news releases. Nothing...

I already contacted Cristy's office. I was then pointed to a Lisa in the gaming commission. This was 3 weeks ago.
