Love your posts PW and I'm hoping beyond hope this is true, but 10 minutes for security to show up inside a casino? Anytime I've seen something go down at a casino, it's like the security comes out of the walls and up through the floor they're there so fast.

Maybe security saw who was getting the beatdown and let it go on!

Eli was considered by the AP site managers to be involved with Russ Hamilton's crew in the UB cheating scandal back in 2008. In an internal spreadsheet from their security team, the note was "May have been involved in cheating scheme". In another spreadsheet, his UB account had ~$500k in winnings but a little under $3M in withdraws. The funds mostly came from transfers from Freddy Deeb and a few from Russ. I spoke with Eli at the time and his responses were standard "i had no idea". Our take on his involvement was that he probably wasn't involved in the active cheating but was used to extract money for tax efficiency.

I have played with Eli, Ted Forrest, Barry G, and Matt Glantz. I have nothing to post regarding any of these men's general character or integrity. But--given several previous posts--I do think the record warrants my observation that I have never seen any of these men deride, chastise, insult, or otherwise antagonize any recreational players or semi-pro's. They've all been in the game long enough to know that such behavior is 100% -EV, and, in fact, Eli and Ted, especially, present themselves as charmers so as to keep the fish happily playing for longer sessions. And none has ever been anything but a perfect gentleman to me. (Although I'd never lend money.)

My disclaimer: My typical mix game stakes never exceeded 150/300 when I played, and I haven't been playing at all for the past 6 months. I can confirm, though, that Ted has been playing poker on the East Coast more frequently in recent years. He used to play at Maryland Live! Casino some when we played 75/150 LHE there, and I was told that he's played at the MGM National Harbor in D.C. more recently (60/120 LHE and 100/200 mix are going there regularly, so I assume these games were the draw for his attendance). I wish him well because he's always done so for me.
