"Poker players are always lending each other money. I always pay my debts."

"Pay" is present tense. "Paid is past tense". So technically he didn't say I "paid" all my debts.

I guess in his mind as long as he's paying something every now and then he pays his debts. Unfortunately it appears for some lenders now and then can mean over several years.

In the screengrab Eli was obviously using speech to text and his heavy accent the reason for all the ridiculous mispellings

Actually I started a thread called

"Article on Eli Elezra's mansion."

All that thread's purpose was to talk about a Las Vegas newspaper article that talked about Eli's house that was for sale and gave some info about Eli and his poker career.

That thread would have died a quiet death until someone came in in post #31 and said this:

At that point the thread exploded and then one of the mods decided to change the title of my little thread from

"Article on Eli Elezra's Mansion"

to

"Article on Eli Elezra's Mansion & apparently, he owes Shaun Deeb and a ton of other people.

So for the record, the thread's title got changed by someone else and I had little to do with Eli being outed for slow payment on loans.

Yeah but he still could being paying the debt even though there is some debt present. If I say I always pay my credit card debt, I would not be lying if I still had a 5000 dollar balance on the credit card.
