Just listened to Deeb's interview, interesting comments about how the old Skool players would rely on regular whale visits back in the day, therefore even if they were broke they had a high expectation that they'd make a score to keep them in action. Now that the games have changed/become tougher many of these players were now struggling. Did anyone pick up that Doyle was kinda grouped into this bracket?

PW - how does Doyle fair in the games these days?

Because Hennigan knows that high stakes pros play at the commerce regularly and wouldn't say Matusow could hide there?

High stakes pros hop back and forth between LA and Vegas (and other cities) based on where the best spots are. And while in Vegas they hop back and forth between Ivey's room and Bobby's room based on same.

Yet PW's gossip almost exclusively revolves around Bobby's Room. Not even Ivey's Room, just one room in one casino in one city. So what type of high stakes pro plays only in a single location all of the time? What reason would PW have for only being in Bobby's room every day?

When you think about it, doesn't seem likely that PW is a player at all.

In some arficles it is said that there were no evidence for chip dumping etc by Man the master.Also, Espn wouldnt have portraied him in a bright light, would they?Also, is he playing many events,including the main event like he did in the early 2000s?Or he plays 50-100 or 100-200 or maybe lower?

There are many more arficles that illustrate in great detail that Man the master is a cheater.

and i've played with him maybe 3-4 times. in that short amount of time i've seen him do things like

1)add chips during a hand
2)misdeclare his hand on the river when called.
3) in a 2/5 plo game where white chips play, if he wins the hand all in he will make sure he gets paid on his white chips, if he loses he will hold them back and tell the dealer they don't play- so yes he'll even try and scam 1-4 dollars.


I'd play cash games with him all day if I could.especially in plo.he sucks. Maybe he's actually a good tournament player (more likely he's just an excellent cheat) but being on ESPN doesn't make someone reputable. Lots of guys you've seen on ESPN are dead broke pond scum.

I think you have to have some respect for anyone that comes to a new country under the circumstances he did and makes his way in life (talking pre-poker days for him), but I don't believe he's quite as well-respected for the way he plays poker as she thinks he is.
