eli snap accepts and says "ok i lay 2 to 1 on $10k. you said you had deuces, right?" (apparently viffer said this after the hand but it was cut as it isnt heard on camera. they probably edited out a few seconds of the conversation during the commercial break/cut away)....
the exact conversation after the $10k bet is proposed by viffer goes...
eli: "alright, i lay 2 to 1 on the ten thousand"
viffer: "you got a bet"
eli: "you said you had deuces, you cant be lying right?"
viffer: "im not lying"
eli: "alright then, its a bet"
viffer: "then i owe you ten thousand..."
eli: "i had king seven offsuit"
(the board was 6s 4c Jc 3h Qs for those who didnt see the clip...viffer had Kc3c for a pair of threes...phil laak starts shouting to eli 'youre so sick, youre so sick!' and gives eli a shoulder rub. the entire table is pretty thrilled to hear about the bluff. this clearly makes viff sick to his stomach)
eli: "i made ten thousand. i didnt know i was gonna make ten thousand from that but now the game is good"
howard (to viffer): "and you really had deuces?"
viffer: "no. i didnt say what i had"
(first angle from viffer. he had already stated he had deuces, after which eli asked him, as quoted above, if that was true. viffer confirmed)
eli: "then you had a pair obviously...or ace high?"
howard: "he had deuces beat anyway"
viffer: "i didnt have deuces either...i had seven eight"
(now the second angle from viffer. first says he has deuces, confirms it to the table. makes the bet, then once is told the truth from eli he lies AGAIN saying that he had 8 high)
eli: "well, then, you didnt have a pair you mean?"
viffer: "i guess you lose"
eli: "no, you said you had deuces. thats a bet...that was the bet"
viffer: "i said the bet was that you had me beat"
eli: "i wouldnt throw $20k if you wouldnt have said deuces..."
viffer: "i didnt say what i had when we made the bet"

eli: "you got the information you wanted to get for free now, because you dont want to pay the ten thousand..."
then howard, in a strong display of irony, starts discussing the ethics of the bet and whether both eli and viffer were angling each other to some degree when they both made the bet. that might have been the funniest part of all. yes, eli only made the bet because he thought viffer was telling the truth about his hand, thus making it an automatic win for eli. however, this isnt an angle or unethical. he was simply (so he thought) taking advantage of what he saw as a poor bet by viffer. he also might have seen viffer offer players freerolls in the past for showing hands of a certain value...(ie: viffer thinks a player is bluffing after a hand, and says "ill give you $5k if you can show me anything better than ace high) so eli wasnt in the wrong for making the bet....ultimately viffer angled eli really hard just to figure out whether or not he got bluffed in a $100k pot. instead of just waiting for the show to air, he lies about 5 times in the span of 3 minutes, welches on a 5 figure bet, and makes himself look like a complete jackass to every poker player in the world. moral of the story here? DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN:
