Lol at the Hope hate itt. She's a ridiculously good player who plays mid-high stakes mixed cash games for a living.

Obviously she was playing super exploitative heads up here but she's a better poker player than 99% of the people who play large field WSOP nlhe tournaments.

I guess a lot of people just see what she's doing and assume it's bad because they don't understand it.

Yeah, Williams had a really good shot to win that thing by simply min raise opening super wide and cbetting small at nearly every flop... then folding anything non-nuts when grandma plays back.

Grandma even open-shoved the hand before it, too.

This is why there's a woman's event. They lack balls.

You guys know Hope is a longtime poster on these forums? I was at the final table and she only started limping heads up to completely own Jackie's kill Phil strategy, worked perfectly and she got it in as a huge favorite. Maybe she could have grinded her down but I think you have to take that spot with AK.

Btw I will cross book her against anyone in the last 100 posts in any limit game any time

She just asked for a bathroom break, she may have asked friends for heads up advice I'm not sure. I know she knows stinger and others from Florida as they came by to sweat randomly. But Hope never would have made a chip chop deal heads up we loved the spot even starting down 4:1

If you think you're a favourite despite 4:1 chip disadvantage its never good to get it allin pre with AK. You're never a 80%+ favourite then..

Big congrats to Hope, second place in a bracelet event is still elite.

Maybe I am mis speaking I am a crummy tournament player but I just meant she was way better than 4:1 dog despite the chip counts. I still think you have to take that spot with AK but I understand what you guys saying too, regardless it was a great spot despite her being really tired and stressed from 3 days of play and never being that deep in a wsop event before

Ok, well yea I think something like 99%+ of the entrants in all WSOP events this year would be better than a 4:1 dog with 4:1 chip count against Scott.

As I understood it you meant she had more than 50% chance to win despite a 4:1 chip disadvantage and that is certainly not impossible if she would have played small-ball imo.

Love Jason's look when he sees the flush and is as confused as **** with "how the **** didn't you v-bet when checked to you". awesome.

Tuchman: Does Trumper think the board is double paired so Mercier got a full house?
Andrew: No, stop. He's not that bad!
Tuchman: I wasn't insinuating that he doesn't understand.

Then what was he saying?

Kind of funny if Trumper got his KKds aipf, he would've busted AA. Alas, we weren't able to go 5/5.

Trumper should get destroyed short handed now, though.

Trumper is an old school poker player in the uk and was on all the late night poker shows back in the day. Baffled as to how he is playing so bad, still hope he takes it down though.

Most likely he very rarely plays plo and doesn't know what he's doing

Who is that guy, 'Andrew'? Dude is an insufferable douchebag. Tuchman is being very patient with him. This guy critiques every play and talks a big game - who the hell is he?

I was wondering the same thing. I was hoping that Deeb would stop back in. Shaun definitely had some different opinions about many different hands and situations and would stir up some good debate. It doesn't help the Professor Ben is too nice to combat Andrew on his opinions. With that said I think PB provides nice commentary in a game he is certainly not an expert in.

Do you know the guys last name? I agree, anybody but him. Deeb is opinionated, but he's actually insightful and not a miserable dickhead downer. This clown just has me on pure tilt. The guy argues just to argue, he disagrees with every single thing that anybody says or does. And he's almost always wrong. Lmao @ the part where he thought TT87 would be >65% favorite over AT83 ds

Watched the Ladies' FT from 9 down to 5; it was abundantly clear that Williams and Gerasimova were the two best players and Sizmore and Mehmi also had a decent shot given chips and aggressiveness.

I'm staggered that Grandma won (but hey it happens), even more staggered that ITT people think Williams is a fish? Unless she is drastically worse short handed than full ring I'm amazed people can have that opinion.
