Andrew Brown, came in 2nd in this event in 2012. When they were talking about it Andrew said that Mercier went deep that year as well, but said "i think he bubbled the FT". Mercier actually got 8th place that year. How do you not remember if Mercier made the final table with you in the biggest score of your life? I find that rather odd and very hard to believe.

Admittedly, I don't know enough about the game to know whether he is right or wrong; however, it's undeniably frustrating that he doesn't accept opposing views and instead thinks his 'plays' are 100% the best. 100% of the time.

Lol he seriously hasn't been correct about a single hand/read so far. He's always wrong about what players have and always wrong about what players are gonna do. He's like 0-12 lol this guy is unlikable

How tilted are Dan and Mercier that they missed out on the one drop only to come so close to a bracelet, but fall short?

Pretty crazy statement to make with king Dan and Mercier at the FT, but I think the best (PLO) player won the tournament. He ran pretty well when he needed to, but he got him self into those spots by adjusting to the game appropriately--making some pretty crucial bluffs and good value bets at the perfect times. His post-win analysis was pretty awesome as well. Glad to see him win it.

I do wonder though if maybe the schedule will change next year so the 10k PLO FT won't interfere with the one drop. It seems as though a lot of the one drop registrants played the 10k and it sucks that Mercier, Dan, and almost Deeb, had to miss out on the opportunity to play it.

He done that quite some time ago already, since he is the co-owner of the Dusk Till Dawn.

Btw I will cross book her against anyone in the last 100 posts in any limit game any time
There is no situation where a good player should ever "take a spot" and flip pre-flop against a horrible player. It's the other way around - a horrible player should always be looking to flip to neutralize their skill disadvantage.

Risking 20x the raised amount on fold equity for your tournament life?

"Flip" implies 50% equity which obviously was not the case in this situation.

There are less than 4 million chips in play total. I dont know exact stack sizes but supposedly she was covered by a decent amount and she shoved over a raise of 150k. This is not a big overbet and really the only option I think. She is suppposed to call and check/fold flop? lol

Most of the time she gets a fold a takes down a pot which is over 5% of the total chips in play.

That wasn't the case after the cards were on their back but you're assuming Williams knew she had Scott dead to a Q or A pre-flop. The more likely scenario is Scott having a pair or two live cards.

AKo is 65% HU. It's obviously not a flip, how likely is it that she has a pair? In fact, she'll be calling a lot of the time with a king or ace.

That's what I mean. Construct a range for Grandma and see how AK is doing against it, it's definitely much better than 50%. So it might be fair to say you shouldn't flip if that means a 50-50 proposition but saying a good player should never take a 65-35 preflop edge is clearly wrong.
