I'm hoping he's a right-winger like those people marching in NYC right now to help you see who the real threat to Jews are in the USA.

if some Hamas members went to a Israeli rally and set doused people with chemicals would you feel the same way? the media and govt and law enforcement sure wouldnt ofc.
So you think there is a good chance this is a state sponsored act and not some idiot kids?

no I dont think it was explicitly state sponsored. but we have all seen the rhetoric from the Israelis leadership. these kids proly just didnt forget what Amelek did to them.

also, I am concerned on where they got the substance.

Washoe is just very ignorant about everything, and revels in it instead of trying to educate himself. Of course this perspective is going to align him with the populist right a lot of the time.

Surprised Victor hasn't come in to gloat yet.

A bunch of Israeli soldiers died in Southern Gaza when something went wrong with a building they were planning on destroying with explosives falling on them, possibly due to Hamas sabotage?

Obviously this is the kind of stuff that happens in urban guerrilla warfare in extremely hostile territory, and Israel was probably running good that this hasn't happened more often.

Maybe a result of hubris. Their troops had been doing so well versus Hamas in street/tunnel fighting maybe they stopped doing enough bombing ahead of time to soften things up. Maybe they should pull out of Khan Yunis, give civilians a few days to flee, and then completely flatten it before moving in again.

I don't think he's in a great place mental health-wise (not meant as an attack, just don't judge him too harshly).

they have been setting up traps in buildings for a long time. plenty of Qassam videos of them.

theres tons of Qassam videos of sniping soldiers with rifles or thermobaric grenades and blasting armored vehicles with rocket launchers or mines. like, theres vids daily. I dont post them but maybe I should if you actually think they are running well vs Hamas.

its real funny how Israel will declare an area secure and then the next day Hamas posts a video from that same area of them blasting the invaders.

and civilians cant flee Khan Yunis. thats the whole point. they surrounded it and cut it off.

Guatemala is not a derail, it gets at the nature of the Israeli state. And that's a prime theme of the entire thread.

We're in the political phase of this war now, it came faster than I expected. But the erosion of trust around Bibi, who is clearly already campaigning, is showing up in the polls in a big way. So now pretty much every headline is part political part operational. So what we know:

The most recent Israeli offer of a 2 month truce is one I doubt Hamas accepts. Even with the population near starvation I think they know they're really close to a "win" in their eyes.

Israel has already killed most of the top military leaders of Hamas (In Gaza) outside of Sinwar, Mohammed Deif, and Marwan Issa. Those 3 guys are already dead. Doesn't really matter where they go, it's Munich-style for them. They will have forever targets on their backs. If they're buried under too big a shield of civilians and hostages, best to get them out and have the local leadership vacuum form. You'll assassinate those guys later anyway. That said Hamas never accepts the proposal for the leadership to leave. The offer was purely political and for optics.

There's definitely nothing funny about the last 100+ days

Hamas should accept and the leaders should seek refuge in qatar

But i also doubt they will

Free the hostages
Release a bunch of prisoners
2 months of no death
Lots of aid getting in

Why wouldn't hamas accept?

Cause they like seeing their people die. It helps their cause

Sad sad world

Well last time resistance leaders were allowed to leave for refuge Israel helped unleash one of the most sickening massacres of the modern era on the population. Pretty sure Hamas knows the their history.

If Hamas is never surrendering, then I question the logic of "bomb the people until Hamas surrenders" as a strategy.

anyway, in some good news Motaz seems to have been able to leave. hopefully he has crossed bc I would not trust the Israeli's not to kill him at the last minute. really surprised they didnt already as he did so much to expose their murderous ideals.
