I don't think there is a way to do player to player transfers on WSEX.

There is a weekly tourney (again) with an FPP buyin.

IIRC their gaming license doesn't allow it.

And here at midnight, one more tourney cancelled as only 30 players signed up to play.......

I read in a chat tonight where one regular decided to finally open up an account with one of the major poker sites since none of the tourneys were going off here.

I'm a little confused by this - they have guarantee tournies that they will not let go without reaching the guarantee? Or is this just a minimum they will let the overlay be? If so what is the minimum overlay?

They require 40 people in the guarantee $ tourneys. At 40 people it works out to 20% overlay. $500 guarantee is $10 entry, minimum 40 people would be $100 overlay. Basically the only overlay is when between 40-50 people enter, that is all. People want the guarantee tourneys because of the overlay, but making it 40 player minimum basically kills any decent overlay so people won't bother to make a special effort to play.

Do you guys think you could maybe do this tournament a few times a week? And also have different amounts of FPP buyins for them? Some higher, some lower etc.

Then aren't they better just running a normal unguarantee tourny? At least the 10 or 20 who want to play will know it's a go. Why put a guarantee if your not willing to lose a little overlay or just make the guarantee lower. I'd be upset if I registered and it didn't go.

Don't forget no rakeback on MTTs. At the min. 40, they lose $60 at most, or the tourney doesn't even go off. Overlay stays the same, but some players aren't playing MTTs anymore because of no rakeback on MTTs. I'd bet they could eliminate the cap, and make every single $10+1 tourney $300-$400 guaranteed and people would still join, and they'd go off, AND WSEX would turn a profit from those tourneys.

No because if that were true then all the regular unguaranteed MTTs wouldn't get cancelled with regularity day after day. Only the $1 and $2 tourneys go off with 10-20, and they are probably just money from placing in the freerolls.

I've suggested making the guaranteeds lower but apparently they either do not want to heed our suggestions, or have OCD and MUST have the number at $250, $500, and $1000.

There are 30-35 some odd players registering in those noon tourneys every single day since the "big change" and they're being upset like you would be all because of the 40 min. restriction.

And the hits just keep on comin'......

The noon tourney was cancelled...

The last time I checked there wasn't even 30 players registered.......

It's day 19 as I sit here and wait for a courier/overnight check!!!

I think I need to explain some things here in order to answer some of your questions. I am going to do my best to explain my way of thinking and how I have come about with the Poker offerings that you have seen.

I know that you are all aware that WSEX is the most unique Poker site our there today. No one else offers Rake Back to everyone, as well as offering extra incentives like the VIP Added events. So, on top of paying you each week, we give everyone the same opportunity to generate rake and participate in added VIP tournaments to the tune of $40,000 per month minimum.

Running a Poker site is just like any other business. In order to continue to operate, you need to cover the costs. It costs money to host, support, maintain, operate, develop, manage, promote, advertise and offer incentives to players. So, looking at Poker like that, it is basically all about the numbers. $x in Rake means that WSEX can offer $x in promotions as well as Operate the site. WSEX offered Poker NOT as a means to fill their pockets. As Fred has stated, we have given back Millions of dollars in Rake as well as taken huge losses by giving everything back. This is where I come in. I have had a great deal of experience in running Poker Rooms. You may not agree with the tournament structure, but it is proven and is not that far off from other sites given all of the other intricacies surrounding what WSEX offers back to the players currently.

That being said, I have been asked to explain the reasons behind why the Guaranteed tournaments had the minimum numbers raised as well as why we have offered more, so let’s consider this. By raising the minimum number of players in a Guaranteed tournament, it allows us to offer you more in the way of VIP’s. It is a give and take. If I was to lower the minimums, then I would have had to lower the weekly VIP to $5000 instead of $7500 or remove the monthly $10,000 Added. By having the minimums set at 40 players (which is not a massive number compared to over 400 players enter the $100 Freerolls), WSEX is offering to cover 20% of each Guaranteed Pot. Keep in mind that I have all of the numbers going back years with regards to how many people play in Guaranteed tournaments as well as how many run and how many don’t due to not enough players. Even at 25 players, there were quite a few tournaments that did not start.

Every site out there has its challenges attempting to make the entire player base happy. It is an endless job and can be very costly at times.

The comparison to PokerStars or any other site out there is like comparing apples to oranges. WSEX.com is nothing like any other site out there. The reason is that we offer minimum 65% Rake Back to everyone. What one must understand is that because we do this, our Margin on Poker is minimal. On top of giving 65% back to everyone, we also offer you promotional tournaments. The money from these tournaments comes directly out of the 35% margin after giving you your money back. No other site out there does that, especially Stars. As well as all of the promotional costs and tournaments, we haven't even touched on Deposit bonuses or Freerolls, which come out of that margin as well as Support, Development, hosting, maintenance, operational costs like bandwidth or being able to call support on the phone, etc.

I hope that explains a little of the reasoning behind what we are trying to accomplish.

VIP Process change:

In order to make it easy for everyone to find out if they qualified for the Weekly or Monthly VIP tournaments, we have changed the process today, so here it is:

Every Monday, after you are paid from WSEX, we will run the same calculations that we always do. However, instead of sending emails to you, we will deposit Tournament Tokens into your account. There are 2 types of Tokens. Monthly VIP Tokens and Weekly VIP Tokens. You can view them in your Cashier under the Credits section. So, every Monday to find out if you qualified, just have a quick look in the Cashier. You will need these at the time of Buy-in to the VIP Events.

Good News: These tokens never expire! So, if you can't make this weeks events or this months event, you will still have your tokens for any of the other ones.

im playing on my wireless laptop on vacation. i constantly getting disconnected and the free disconnection doesnt seem to work or reset in the new software. thanks. i seen a improvement in traffic lately at 2/4 to 5/10 limit.fwiw, monsterBa seem to turn off his bot since i last posted about him. lol i guess he does read this forum he also been chatting a lot lately, lol typical of bot owners after being accused.. the bot and player played a totally different style. While the human is more weak folds more, and clicks the mouse like actually person clicking a mouse, not some pattern betting tells that typical bots usually have.. ill be keep my eyes on u monsterba. actually, if players play the tournys, the overlay isnt really that bad. although i wish they bring back aces never lose and drop the tourneys.

Why so many Turbo MTTs? While I am glad that you finally added the 150-300-25 level, having many of your MTTs with 5 minute level blinds kind of defeats the purpose. I would enter your $10 MTTs if so many of them weren't Turbos.

I paid for courier, but the $50 was returned to me. I was told now that the processor mailed my check via normal mail last week and i SHOULD have it mid week....today is Thursday and I have not gotten anything yet. The $ left my account the end of July. I will post when the check actually arrives.

This is a well thought out change.

I think the deposit bonuses (whenever they are implemented) will help a lot, but you have to find a way to make money in/out easier. Having to pay $50 for a check that takes 3 weeks+ just isn't going to cut it (to be clear, it seems that only recently it has taken that long, it used to be 7-8 business days, which is probably the best we can hope for)

WSEX GM, Jeremy: What is going on with Payment Processing for US customers? That is very important for many people to play at a site, knowing they can get their funds in a timely manner. Mine has taken 5+ weeks now, and was told I should have it this week though, but the week is almost over and nothing yet. Is WSEX Now set with a processor for US customers, or does it go week to week with things? I would like to keep playing here, but until that is worked out I will not be making any more deposits.

What you need to explain is why aren't people getting paid by you guys!!!

Ohhhh and the 4pm $6 tourney was cancelled.
Once again the site couldn't find 40 players to make your minimum.

I understand where you're coming from, but this is simply not true. You're going to get compared to Stars and Tilt whether you want to argue it or not. They're who you compete against in order to get players.
