Anything that happened in HIS account is not your responsibility or problem.
He is responsible for his account's security, not you.
If he was hacked they stole from HIM, not you.

If you believe that he was hacked then it would be reasonable for you to give him more time, put him on a payment plan, or otherwise make it easier for him to recover and repay. But you'd just be being a nice guy. He owes you the money as promised.
You fulfilled your part of the deal. He did not.
