Will any of Stars team pros speak up on what's going on or will they just keep quiet and try to get whatever they can out of Stars before the whole thing goes bang?

So many of them happy to criticise other situations like Colman, FullTilt but will they bite the hand that feeds them for the good of the game?

I liked WPN for a bit but they need to make some changes. Decent RB though.

action concerns aside, you can step right onto ipoker and earn similar abouts of rakeback as SNE right off the bat.

This is a step too far, we are in control of the future of Pokerstar's not Pokerstars themselves, I suggest every single person playing on this site, boycotts until the rake is reduced back to what it originally was, I bet the cheeky *astards even still reduce the UK player pools VIP program as well to rub further salt in the wound, We don't play their profit margins die a death = forces them to change things back to how they were, some profit is better then no profit, and Pokerstars and their shareholders should be made to learn this.

BOYCOTT! Both Stars and Tilt

We should do some kind of a strike or something like that. I'm saying that in the first day when this is gonna apply no one to play poker on pokerstars, absolutely no one.
They will have a huge lost then, and if they don't change nothing we should keep doing it till they will think again. It doesn't matter how big they are as long as we all unit. If no one is going to play they rake won't matter at all and I'm pretty sure they will do something about that. http://i61.tinypic.com/s3zxp5.png we should use this Picture Let's all be united guys ! There's no market without customers an we are the customer so WE HAVE THE POWER.

Guys...

I'm just crushed in this moment. I always try to be optimistic but now I just can't... I don't know what to do right now. If my prediction come true, I have to go to 9 to 5 job, what is really depressing for me (welcome to Polish reality). And what is my prediction?

Amaya decisions and moves are bad and annoying. But what is worse, IMO they are just stupid. I belive that people managing so big company, with so huge capital can be greedy, but they aren't stupid. So what? The bottom line is, that for me it looks like they just want lead PokerStars to collapse. Maybe create and leave casino games (spin&go is 1st step, it seems FullTilt is transforming to casino already), and kill online poker.

Why they want to kill golden goose? I don't know. Probably it's about the money. Maybe they assume it's more profitable for them to force fishes to spin roulette, instead of givin' them chance to win at poker tables. Furthermore thay don't have to share profits with regs.

Why I'm so crushed? Because I don't see chance to improve this situation...

Protest? What protest? To block PS for 24h, 48h or week, by players? By who? By regs. And who will be left on tables? Fishes. Now imagine this, and imagine solidarity so great that any reg want to seize this opportunity (even for 24h). Yeah right...

Some say maybe another pokerrooms will take advantage of Amaya moves? Nope... For me other pokerrooms are just to... lazy... I mean, take a look on current situation. There is PokerStars and all the rest way, way behind. Does it look like real competition on market? Does it look like other pokerrooms fight or strieve for players? Does their offer, software, publicity and marketing were even close to PokerStars? Not for me... Why should it change now, if it didn't change for such a long time?

It's over Lads...

Funny that PokerStars invites players to their headquarter who deliver data that PLO Micros are already hard to beat and that people play break even, so they must have thought "hey, then we can increase the NL/PL50+ rake so that everyone is playing breakeven or less..".

I mean this post is like insane. It literally says "We've heard your requests. We don't care."

Well, goodbye. Cashout is +EV I think.

Battle of the Planets
The week ending Saturday, November 1st will be the final week of the Battle of the Planets promotion. Prizes will be paid out this week as per normal.

Rake Changes Effective November 3, 2014
Rake will increase for all stakes of heads-up hyper turbo Sit & Go tournaments.

Tournament fees for all forms of knockout tournaments, including both scheduled and Sit & Go tournaments, will now be equivalent to tournament fees charged for similar non-knockout tournaments. This is a change for all forms of knockout tournaments except for progressive super knockout tournaments for which tournament fees will not change.

Hyper-turbo scheduled tournament fees will increase from 2% to approximately half of the fees charged for other scheduled tournaments at same or similar buy-in levels.

The cap for ring game rake for hands dealt at PL/NL games to exactly two players will increase to $2 for stakes $25/$50 and higher and $1 for all other stakes.

The cap for ring game rake for PL/NL games at $25/$50 and higher stakes with 5+ players dealt in will increase from $3 to $5.

Spin & Go rake will be increased at stakes $3 and above. Details are in the table at the end of the post. Note that the ‘Rake’ row in the table refers to the % of prize pool withheld for rake, as is consistent with our current communication on our website and communication of pricing by competitors about similar products.

Rakes Changes Effective January 1, 2015
Hyper-turbo satellite Sit & Go fees will be increased at stakes below $2,000 from 2% to an amount equivalent to roughly 75% of the fees charged for cash prize hyper-turbo Sit & Go tournaments of the same buy-in. A table at the end of this post includes sample fees for a wide range of buy-ins.

New tournament fees will apply in rebuy tournaments for players whose play is subject to significant local taxes in the form of gaming duty and/or VAT. For such players, tournament fees equivalent to those charged for initial buy-ins will be charged for rebuys and add-ons. We will soon provide a full list of sites/countries affected on January 1, but as examples, PokerStars.be, PokerStars.dk, PokerStars.uk, and PokerStars.bg will qualify due to gaming duty and players from Germany will qualify due to VAT.

Spin & Go Prize Changes Effective November 3, 2014
Spin & Go prize distribution will change to offer top prizes of 3000x the buy-in at each pool, increased from 1000x. Full details of the new distributions are available in the table at the bottom of this post.

Details and Examples of Changes

Sit & Go

Spin & Go

Scheduled MTT

The above are examples; similar changes will apply at all stakes.

I've been trying to come up with a longer post about this, but basically, what you need to do is stop freaking out and relax for a minute. I'm not saying what Stars is doing isn't crappy, but part of being a profitable online poker player is getting crapped on by the sites occasionally and adjusting to it. If you're good enough to win on Stars now, you're probably good enough to win somewhere next week. It's going to take some work figuring out what games those are.

In a decade of doing this I've had sites pull my most profitable game out from under me quite a few times. This isn't necessarily a worse spot than some of those. (Though it looks like it could royally suck for SnG specialists if some other site doesn't grab all that traffic.) Take some time, look around you, and find another spot you can beat. It's out there. I started out playing a game that basically doesn't exist online now, and now I'm playing a game that hadn't been invented when I started. It's a big poker world and there's more room in it than you think.

Wow.. yesterday I was reading for 2h all the bad news from the past weeks. Going to bed with some headache. Waking up in the next morning reading the next (probably worst) news since Pokerstars existence.

I am sure many people were not thinking about leaving/stopping/changeing the site until now, truely consindering that. We got one year longer with that Rakeback (wondering why they didn't change the VIP system already in 2015 - sure there is an evil plan behind it). More ****ty changes incoming for sure the next months.

If other poker sites want a shot, now it is the time for it. Gladly waiting for some good offers to give me the last poke for leaving Amayahell.

Peace,
icho

It's time to write letters to PS support. Writing in this post can change nothing, but if everyone write them about high rake and bad future, when regs go away and fishes lost their money and ps will stay without games.. Directors will start thinking normal.

just lost 3 all in dominant hands in a row not on pokerstars. The thing is I have had some awful runs of luck on pokerstars before as well as running like god.

sometimes i felt like stars was rigged but i knew with research looking at stats and community trust that it isnt and i built a four figure roll there.

However I cannot say that for other sites, I mean we vouch for all these small sites been fair deal?

don't get me wrong I am not going to cry rigged because I lost 3 hands im not that silly, but playing on a combo of small unproven sites does not have the same peace of mind brand image or security that the old pokerstars did.

+1 for Shame on you team pros for blasting Coleman and others yet not saying a word here

Pokerstars Steve came out and insisted he agreed with the changes in the last thread, let's see if he does the same here.
