I hope this is sarcastic, I'm sure Ted is a great mixed gamed/fixed-limit player but his HU play was ridiculous.

I think he finally picked up a tell on Phil near the end of the match, Phil tends to splash the chips when he's weak and he does it quickly too, every bluff and every thin bet it seemed he tended to throw the chips into the middle quickly.

Ofc Phil gets there on the river, he got there all match long. To me, Ted had the balls to call a 1-2 street bluffs but never called on the end.

Also, no effing way Phil calls the shove on the end there w/o making Kings-up, no WAY.

Just watching Monday's show today.

Even Leeann had a little chuckle and a glance at the camera when Hellmuth said the great players watched him, lol.

and wtf Paul Wasicka I am embarrased to have voted for you.

Okay, it sounds like the second episode was more amusing (probably in a dumpster-fire sort of way), so I guess I'll give it a watch after all. But like many on here, I almost literally fell asleep watching Tuesday's show.

By the way, did Ferguson spot up a tell on Wasicka? (Several of you mentioned Hellmuth's, so I'll be on the lookout for it.) Even when he set Wasicka all-in in that second pair vs. top pair hand, I'm guessing he picked up on some kind of weakness. And in fairness, Wasicka did seem a little shaky with his TP7K hand but he had already made up his mind that he was going to war with it.

Anyway, looking forward to the Wednesday episode. Oh, and as for the banana, perhaps Ted Forrest saw one of the David Cross episodes on Celebrity Poker Showdown.

I did notice this. It was as if she had a prop bet with the camera operator.

Also, sometimes I wonder if the guys in the production booth are laughing their asses off at some of the things Phil says. I have an image of one techie leaning to another and muttering, "A Benjamin says he mentions his 11 bracelets."

Lol @ people saying Hellmuths call with K5 on a 25QJ with two flush draws being good. If he is playing there he should be shoving. If any of the flushes got there he would have made a bad fold on the river, and if he doesnt making kings up he probably talks himself into folding too. Probably the only river cards he will play correctly against TF's hand is an 8 and a 2.

Also, there were so many other times he did some pretty ridic things given the person he is playing, the 45 hand is a solid example of blindly shovelling chips into the middle.

And lets not even start about he is so ****ing arrogant that he thinks he is the worlds best NLHE player, that the worlds best watch him play on tv to learn something. Its so ridiculous its unreal.

Anyway, Jesus will win because he is the best there when it comes to this format of poker and its not really close. Hopefully Wasika meets him in the final, he had a bad game 1 and certainly didnt play his best.

When Wasicka has a weak hand/no hand, he'll grab for chips and eye back at the flop.

No, that level of HU play is the reason why math players like Jesus do very well, and why former baseball player could run over so many of the name players. Game theory, ranges, and math aren't sexy, but they're essential to HU poker.

I don't think that Jesus necessarily picked up any tell on Wasicka. The kinds of calls and semi-bluff shoves he made are routine in NLHE HU poker. You have to both bet and call much lighter in HU, and sometimes a good HU play can seem very fishy or spewy. If Wasicka had a hand in spots where he was bluffing, Jesus would still be paying him off, and then it would look like he's a calling station instead of someone with a read on an opponent.
