my deeb story
about 2 years ago i played some 5/10 nl with him at rivers in NY.
He was always nice to be, and although he is much better with me he could tell I was a winning player.
He was also nice to other guys who were clearly winning players if they were nice, good for the game etc.
He was an absolute dick to 2 nitty reg/pro types that tanked, were dicks to fish etc.

A few days later he was still playing nl i was playing plo and he lend money to several fish in the plo games who live up there despite the fact he would not benefit from it.

really felt like lex came off super poorly trying to defend stars. he was saying **** like "why don't you guys go do something instead of just crying on the internet?"

like what can we really do? people have done something, aka stopped taking money from a site even though it would benefit them. so now he's left with defending a company that is doing nothing for its players. meanwhile other sites are at least trying a bit to give some rewards to its players. the chat wasn't having it either.

another thing is, dude is on the verge of having a mental breakdown at any point and joey even pointed it out that what he's experiencing isn't normal.. you can tell when you watch his streams, dude is stressed the **** out. maybe it's partially due to him just not being a winner in the games he's playing or having too much on the table. people don't want to watch someone who drains the energy out of the room. i used to watch him a bit, but i tune in every other day just to see if he's actually changed but i guess not.

it might also be that streaming while playing poker is another beast itself, tonkaa as well went from being super charismatic to just being really quiet and not the same and all together quitting streaming which i don't blame him at all especially if he feels like he's giving away too much information on his stream.s

hopefully lex gets help for his situation, but i just think maybe he even has to deal with people ****ting on him for taking handouts from stars and i think rightfully so. the player base can only do so much and what is he doing other than promoting a site that is robbing their players over and over with deceit?

After listening to the Nagy pod it would seem like the bots are in fact actually run by ACR itself - possibly as prop bots or something of that nature which actually benefits ACR. Why else would he defend them in such an odd way?

Also while Deeb is a great poker player he comes across as an egomaniacal know it all bafoon.

always liked lex but yeah have to agree that he came across bad whilst trying to defend stars stance. Saying that the money from rake hikes basically go's back into the ecosystem through advertising etc. Just numbers in the air, who cares about enticing players to barely beatable games with no lengevity?. But one thing he said was right, everyone should be doing their part to make the game more interesting and a better experience for recs

I'm not a huge GOT defender, esp to you types out there who seem to be proud of being one of the ones who haven't partaken (you know you are). I love the books, loved the show seasons 1-4, the rest hasn't been as good but its still good TV viewing. What I always think of when I hear people bash GOT without even watching it is, what do you watch or consume? Because if it's not purely nonfiction books and Docs or whatever you're most likely being pretty hypocritical. Like what fictional show isn't "cringeworthy" at times?

Watched an episode for 10 minutes or so, years back. Sorry, to me it was not very entertaining. I found Joey's animated play-by-play analysis more entertaining that I would have found the show .... and thanked him for the podcast.

So, find entertainment and comfort in your "GOT-ness", no one is questioning your entertainment choice or even your lifestyle if you are REALLY into it. You've got a lot of company in your choices.

Don't worry about us "types out there", we sure don't pay attention to the GOT Universe except on a rare tangent to something else.

It's entertainment, bottom line. Personally, I like Green Acres, it seems less serious than does GOT or its fans.
