Hey Joey, just watched the video about the guys from Germany. It’s a great story and you break it down very well.

But about the latter part of the video, in game purchases for esports games and spending money. You need to check out Southpark episode 6 of season 18, it’s shows exactly what can happen with in game/app purchases!! It’s satire of course but not that far fetched.

Thank you for always keeping the poker community informed, you kick ass bro!!!!

I like the video and you helping get the word out / fight the good fight - hope all this recent GG backlash could potentially lead to a more transparent and fair future from them / in the poker community

Curious why you don't go in more depth that if security is unable to track a banned player coming back for this goofy 'won too much / table selected' reasoning, what happens if a person is banned for botting or live assistance or collusion? Do they let those guys play another year on site too before taking their money

Also pointing out how many cases this has been , i swear 2+2 alone has seen like 15+ threads a lot of ppl seem to be just focusing on this one dudd1 case when just yesterday alone venividi and coopsta both told their stories on twitter of having a lot of money confiscated as well.

Basically points that really hammer home to people who haven't done their own research the severity of these issues and how many people , some even being well known in the community - see also mmasherdog years ago i believe having money stolen from them, venividi, etc etc are affected. Seems a lot of people will be happy to say eh **** these bumhunters! without knowing the grey area of how anyone who wins money at poker could be labelled a bumhunter under their rules - meanwhile random live pros and streamers saying 'well obviously we should police toxic cash game players! bum hunting ruins peoples experience!' when it seems in a lot of cases the people are playing high volume which leads one to believe they are playing any table that runs vs anyone , not table selecting here and there hoping to push up winrates or are known as very strong players who would happily reg battle as we see them do it on stars lol

I like how you mention their narrative being very mixed, having sponsored 'winning' poker pros who all sell the dream of winning at poker, but their ToS and CEO's stance are they dont want winning players. I think it could be hammered home with these 500/1k games popping off among some of the best players in the world that are insantly breaking when the spot at the table leaves lol , if you know the right people clearly it doesn't matter if you table select. (I don't blame them - i think any smart poker player in their right mind is going to table select which can be classified as 'bumhunting' because they dont close their eyes and sit and never leave table until sessions over.

Yes - there are many parts to the bigger picture story - I wanted to keep this focused on the current story/issue at hand.

I'm not as familiar with those other incidents but I do know they help to tell the bigger story which I will explore more in the future.

Just watched that Limitless podcast.
You do know that was Sacha Baron Cohen, right?

Also, I hope you grill Ike on the bum hunting tomorrow.

I’m kind of interested to see how Landon is on Monday. It’s tough to read someone solely from online, but he comes off as super cocky/arrogant and a try hard. I’m not trying to be a dick, I’m genuinely looking forward to seeing how he presents himself.

Way off topic but just saw the Ultimate Bet documentary because some guy in the missing Brad Booth thread posted it. Very interesting stuff. Would like Joey to cover that as well as the arrest of Millie Weaver......

Good Vlog Joey. I’ve read a couple of Landon’s blog posts in the past and really enjoy his writing. It’s really nice how he opens up about the negative aspects of poker (lost friendships due to the grind, downswings, ect). A lot of players, winning players even, don’t like to talk about these things openly even though it’s a huge part of the poker life. Looking forward to the podcast.

Thank you - I think he is one of the only people I've seen that's American who shares those types of thoughts on the poker journey. There are probably others in forums that do but I never come across them.

I'm on the search for the stories from the next generation of poker players

Have a bunch of different formats/ideas I want to try for it.

Hey Joey love the content! I saw you ask about Chris Brewer, and that he responded in the other thread. He was a sick athlete at Oregon and has quickly come out of no where climbing stakes. Would love to see you have him on the pod. Also MJ Gonzalez obviously has increased popularity as of yesterday with the limitless challenge.

If I'm not mistaken, he is the same MJ who Negreanu was training with on GTO Strat a year or so ago?

Regardless, I think people would be interested in hearing about more of his backstory.

Keep up the great work!

Enjoyed the pod

Found myself thinking the kid has a decent head on his shoulders and is saying reasonable things for someone so young and who has only been playing for 2yrs. I'm a fan, will be following along +++ love the energy and motivation

Fun podcast with Landon, its pretty amusing at times how naive he is when he is saying stuff like "I've been on multiple downswing that were 30 bi or 150k hands, does that mean im a losing player??". But it's also very enjoyable and nostalgic, I think everyone who was very driven about poker can relate to him at some point in time.

Poker def need more of these naive young kids, they are great ambassadors for the game. Have seen him around on twitter a couple of times, and imho he would probably do better running some kind of vlog channel or similair than writing/tweeting. Seems like he has a lot to say and a bunch of energy.
