It's funny you have these jokes set up for your podcasts but as soon as Kassouf mentions "BBC or black poker players" you have nothing to say.

Do you have something against these specific people or Asians as a whole?

The next time I play at Aria or the B, I'll be sure to mention that I took a pot off some Native American Genocide War Criminal or if that doesn't point out the obv maybe Mississippi Slave Trade owner will work. What do you think?
Heres comes the PC train trying to ruin everything.

I'm waiting for him to say Columbian sniffles so I can refer him to a couple Pablo's I know.
Also, maybe spend more time learning geography than PC'ness, considering Columbia is in the USA although I'm sure there's people called Pablo there too.

This is an open forum where opinions are expressed on deeply heated topics.

I'm not trying to ruin the podcast but provide awareness to some of the shortcomings I notice in the pod.

That's quite insensitive to misspell a country like that. Maybe you should try to be more PC

I didn't find anything Joey said on the pod even remotely as offensive as your misspelling of Colombia

As for my last statement, I appreciate the kind words in response but hopefully the irony was understood.

Here's a little token of advice Joey, its obvious you're searching for advertising/promotional funding for your podcast and it may very well be on the horizon. Keep the above post in mind and "don't **** it up."

The bill is in the mail.

Me and my fellow countrymen from Manila very much enjoy Joeys pods and realise he is simply referring to the location of where said shuffle shuffled.

My cousin in Barca said the same about all the shuffling there.

Do you Papi!

Or the lazy stereotyping that people there are all called Pablo.

Wait, are people in Manila culturally appropriating an American podcast? This is getting out of control.

Joey came up with The Manilla Shuffle joke because of an incident Dani Stern had at a Manilla casino where he got angled out of $.

Joey referenced the Thailand sniffles because several days ago when Jason Mo was on the podcast he told a story about having the sniffles in Thailand. Seems like you have some more podcasts to watch haha.

If that may be the case you must be miserable reading through threads with posters misspelling words as simple as your/you're. I misused a U for an O for a country. Didn't use the name of the country in a bottomless/insensitive joke for ****s and giggles.

I'm aware of how the references to these people originated, thank you. The incident that involved Dani was in a European casino, in a PLO game played with Euros (currency). Last I heard the Philippines has yet to enter the Euro zone and convert their peso currency to Euro. LOL, haven't you heard of the European PLO Shuffle to be added to the podcast? Yeah me neither.

Moving on...

It appears that you may have misunderstood the whole intent of the original post. I have a disagreement with how he is using another persons experiences in a podcast of his own as a "racial joke", at the expense of anyone that is ethnically from the locations mentioned.

His podcast reaches thousands of people "worldwide" not just the states. I find it to be offensive and I'm not even from any of the cities/countries mentioned. If you feel that it doesn't offend you in any way, then more power to you.

I can say that I can put myself in another persons shoes.

^ But like I said, aren't those people guilty of cultural appropriation? And why should they be able to appropriate something, but at the same time ask for things to be changed. Wouldn't we call that out if the situation was reversed?

It cuts both ways. To give a real world example, I was walking in the street in Slovakia with an American where there was an advert for the stamina effects of "Kamikaze Energy Drink" tagline "Pearl Harbor 6000 km this way".

He said "I could be offended by that." and my answer was "... but nobody would care."

People like CommerceTy have a very US-centric view of the world when they assume people in Thailand must be crying themselves to sleep over what people in the west think of them.

I'm a few months behind on podcasts now so I can't comment on the specifics though.

An ethnic/racial joke is a remark attempting humor relating to an ethnic, racial or cultural group, often referring to an ethnic stereotype of the group in question for its punchline. BANG BANG BANG

You can argue that phrases like "Mexican straight draw" or "Korean flush draw" are offensive but "Manila shuffle" is about as offensive as "Rio olympics".

Hello commercety,

Let me preface this by post by stating the fact that I am Asian. I am not offended by the Manila shuffle reference and I think you need to lay off the political correctness. I am assuming you are Asian as well, we got bigger things to worry about man. Like some white girls won't even give me a chance cuz they think my package is to small and they have never even seen it. The stereotype isn't true for everyone and all of us Asians aren't below average below the belt, just a few of us, who feel need to compensate for it on a public forum. I'm talking directly to you commercety.
