I know Sauce was just on, but I would love to hear his thoughts on how Patrik plays in the mixed games now that he's putting in some real hours. +$500k this year

Although Sauce is incredibly interesting and his views are very well structured and supported, he's never going to say much as is the norm. Expect something like "he's obviously crushing this year, I see some leaks but he's worked on some areas and is obviously a very difficult opponent to play against. But 8game is relatively new and it's interesting to see how things play out in the near future"

Would love more pods with guys who have left poker, or who are just really intelligent. If they're intelligent, I don't really care about their poker history.

More like +300k which come off playing Andrew Pantling HU. He's about even playing vs regs in a super small sample, so it doesn't say anything about his skill level in today's online games.

Anyone want a last longer bet?

Doug Polk finishing the $100 to $10k BR challenge before WSOP.com going out of business.....?

I think it's pretty even money at this point.

Finally got to watch the david williams podcast. Easily one of my favourite pods you ever did imo. Didn't know much about him, but guy seems like an absolute boss, and overall super entertaining!

Tbh I think Joey's wrong in the Chance podcast about the reason why Phil G is losing in a 3-handed game (with Bullitos winning). Working on other projects at the expense of playing poker can be valuable as it allows time/space for your mind to think about -strat's -lines etc, what should work and what doesn't. Joey thinks that as Phil moves between Canada and the US to live his life, to work on RIO, that this is all wasted time. I don't feel it is but I'm not a winning poker player.

The point piqued my interest as I had a random thought about Phil recently. We (the poker community) have pretty much paid him to talk through and improve his online game for the last 7 or 8 years, where he has made a v good living (in the relative sense of the word across the whole world) from this. Obviously, looking at things from a flipside, the poker community have learnt a great deal from him too.

If I had been in his position (ie. learnt poker straight after the boom and got v good at it v fast) I am not sure if I would've gone down the same route. Good luck to Phil, he has done well!

Haha I would never use the phrase "wasted time" about anything. I think that coaching, making videos, learning about business and really learning in general can be super valuable for your poker game if you are great at the game to begin with.

I think Chance said he thought Phil wasn't winning in that particular 3 handed lineup. I have no idea if he was or wasn't but I think that the player who is grinding on a continuous basis at the highest stakes vs some of the best players for an extended period of time is going to have an edge over the person who isn't. Especially as players get better and better and improve faster. While I agree that time/space can be a positive for your mindset and poker game, I think there are a bunch of other factors to also consider when taking that into account.

I would love to have any of these guys on

The people that I know on this list are all pretty quiet and reserved people, have talked about doing a podcast with a few of them in the past.

I think this is the path I am working to get to but I still want to focus on people from the poker world. I could probably do 7 podcasts/week with a balance of the different groups of people I would ideally like to but don't think that is GTO.

Ideally I would break it up something like

Mainstream Poker
Midstream Poker
Live Poker
Online lesser known Poker
Female Poker Player (sorry pc, don't be upset)
Intelligent Person in general (sometimes poker, sometimes not)
Successful Person not in poker
Crazy person not in poker

It is an interesting spot to be in right now. I really want to still be focused on poker and the poker world but at the same time I also really want to learn more and venture outside of poker. I'm not actually sure how I could be thinking about it or approaching it. Def open to feedback and suggestions that anyone has. I would really like to start having people doing awesome things in other genres of the world on but I know that would cut into the poker side of things and eventually would end up leading down a path of paying less attention to poker. Maybe I should start to put a slight emphasize on the people who have been involved in poker in some capacity or former poker players gone on to do other things but I'm not really sure. I tend to not really know those people and I enjoy having people on that I do know in some way.

Perkins delivered yet again. That podcast was amazing and uplifted my day as always with the fountains of wisdom and the many laughs. What's amazing is I know the audience, Joey, and Bill all will feel very introspective about their own lives after a podcast like that whether you participated in the discussion or not, or whether you were the one delivering the good advice and life experiences like Bill did; even he will get something great out of it and will digest something valuable later by the great exchanges about the variety of topics.

I was rolling with the thought of Bill being rescued by a chopper out of Burning Man to escape a "reverse intervention" by his friends. So many goldmines in this one with the whole spectrum of serious issues and entertaining stories.

PAPI: So much raving and #entrepreneuring going on I feel for some P-L-O!

Suggestions:

Dborys - PLO theorist and popular mod in JNandez Twitch stream. Why does he have "69" in his Facebook URL?

Betrob7 - 2+2er, RIO coach and HUPLOer (4 hole cards and 2 opponents, sick game!) http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/17...9/index23.html
