Is 2GB of RAM enough for 6 tables, one site, running PT3?

^ What version of windows will you be running? Generally you may as well just get more RAM as its relatively inexpensive and easy to install.

hi all complete computer noob here,

the laptop i was using for grinding has given up on me so i am in the market for a new one,

i grind 10-15 tables over 3 or more sites using hold em manager 2

i use a very new top of the range monitor 27"

can someone suggest the minimum specs i will need so i can search for a suitable model to buy

i prefer a laptop as iam planning to up sticks and move to more exotic locations to grind and rather keep all hh etc in one place

any advice will be greatly recived

i presume the most important things are RAM and processor? to enable it to run with no glitches

thanks in advance

The I3, I5, I7 are the latest Intel processors, I3 would be just fine. You'll probably want 8 gigs of ram (4 works fine though), and an SSD is a big upgrade over a standard hard drive, especially on a laptop.

i3 is NOT fine imo. i got my mom a laptop for christmas and i thought that. its not slow, but its not what you'd expect.

i actually have the 2nd one you posted and i love it. since samsung steals everything apple does, this was their macbook pro. the cached hard drive space makes a huge difference. i guess they dont like you euros, i paid $900 for mine. could answer more questions but i dont regret my choice at all

I'm looking to buy a new laptop. I have a tight budget and was hoping to gets some suggestions on the best bang for the buck out there in the $325-$400 range. Any links would be greatly appreciated.

I found this one I like on newegg.com, but its $50 more than I want to spend. Seems that they had it on sale for $399 previously, but its been moved up since then Any thoughts/comparisons on this one would also be greatly appreciated.

I personally don't think there is a big difference between monitors/companies in the 1080p range. The only real spec difference is between TFT and IPS panels. If you play in a setting with alot of light, esp natural light from windows, get a Matte screen; glossy screens have better color in darker rooms but the reflections will drive you crazy. Go to newegg.com and find a monitor with the specs you want, look to see if it has good reviews, and buy it.

Ridiculously overpriced. It's like a bigger screen but less resolution MacBook Pro but you get even less bang for the buck....lol

I highly recommend the Mamba/DeathAdder gaming mice tho

am i missing something or is this only 2560x1440?

I'm looking for 2560x1600+ in a size smaller than 30 inches...hoping the new Apple cinema displays about to come out will debut it and it will become a thing.

edit: oops. i typod meant to say I want the resolution of the dell 30'' in a smaller size, so 2560x1600. Does this exist yet? Sorry about the confusion
