the sats to each KO week event seem to only be added a few hours before the actual event. I guess it's a deliberate ploy to get players to focus on each upcoming event one at a time?

I'd personally rather see multiple sats for each event running every hour all day, but I suspect Luke and the team are looking to drive recreational traffic towards a smaller cluster of big-field satelites that award loads of seats and really boost the target fields. It makes sense tbh, though I'm sure they could still throw us satelite fans a bone by running a few more without detracting from the overall plan.

why that reminds me of back in the day when 3r>nightly 162 sats would pay the entire field after addon 3 units if they didnt hit 162,
.....even paid out people who didnt make addon a couple times retroactively

this guy sure is doing an awful job with sats, hopefully someone else takes charge of this area

Again, you replaced the nicely structured 215 Deep Turbo at 19:30CET with the deadline sat, with a structure that every one hates...

As of Monday (19 Oct) the start time will be 14:00. In addition to this, I’ve changed the start times on the Round 1s so that they won’t begin during sync breaks. This will be a nice improvement to the playing experience, so thank you for pointing it out.*

*this change extends to the Nightly $162 as well.

Beginning Monday, all deep turbos will have the "new" (and hopefully final) structure. It begins at 25/50 rather than 10/20. Level 12 is still 500/1,000.

Are you sure? I've checked the script running these SNGs and I'm unable to find an error. Please check again next week and let me know. SNG satellites are typically deployed on Monday morning IoM time.

I'm sorry that it is tilting, but the reality is we will not agree. Players love to email Support. Support asks us for clarification on many, many issues. I've yet to receive a complaint from a player regarding remainder payments in satellites.

I do think the point mentioned elsewhere regarding multiple bubbles slowing down the game is a fair one. It is not my intention to create a negative experience in that regard. The reduction in time banks and the increase in dealing speed should mitigate this problem.

why did stars change the 2.20$ sunday storm satellites now that winners get a storm ticket instead of the t$11? please change this back! this is a quite important satellite for players with a smaller bankroll which does not allow tournaments with 11$ yet..

It appears like this now, thx a lot ! I'm pretty sure last night when I checked it had the new deadline turbo structure used since this year's WCOOP - unless I misclicked or sth, kind of unlikely.

Yes 100% sure they only appear on Mondays and rest of the days they don't appear, I ve been seeing this since last 3-4 weeks. You can check it yourself, no hyper sats to daily 27 deployed today.

I am sure if the prize pool is 3 seats and 4th place taking 180$, there will be no complains either. In fact, it's more likely the player, who takes 180$ to register the target paying himself for 25$ more.
Keep the more places paid only for live events as people cashing the remaining amount are less likely to direct buy-in after that (considering they also have to travel for the target event).
It used to be like that for years, I can't even think of why it was changed.


On a side note thanks for removing 10/20 in the deep sats !

For some reason you appear to be splitting the bubble payments in satelites into tiny pieces. Please stop doing this; it's stupid and annoying.

For example, today I witnessed a $1.65 rebuy satelite (tournament #1342809915) to the Sunday Million which had 165 entrants and a total prizepool of $1702.50. The average buyin for this tournament was obviously just over $10. It awarded 7 seats to the Million ($215 each, so a total of $1505) which left a remainder of $197.50. Whereas previously this $197.50 would have been paid to the 8th placed finisher, today I watched with a combination of horror and confusion as places 8-18 received $16.50 each and the 19th placed finisher received $16.

I very much doubt that any of the players who finished between 8th and 19th were particularly happy with their $5 or so profit after 4 hours of play, but you know this already. I realise that in the ideal world all tournament prize pools would be split equally between all players (after rake, of course) so that everyone would go bust slowly and Pokerstars could gradually bleed us all to death, but since some of us players do actually still have functioning brains it'd be nice if you were at least a little less obvious about it.

I would respectfully ask you to reconsider this recent change to your satelite payout structures as I'm sure you can think of more subtle, creative ways to squeeze every last cent out of the online poker community. For example, last year you tripled the rake on hyper mtts for a few days and hundreds of players still happily signed up for the $82 6-max without so much as a blink of the eye. Let's see more ideas like that, so the few remaining players who actually think about what they're spending their money on before clicking REGISTER can at least take solace in the fact that it's just all the other mugs who are getting fleeced.

you just completely disregarded at least 8 individual posters disagreeing with the new payouts, but hey, no negative emails so it's all good.

must be nice to chose when feedback from here or from emails is more important.
if a post is supportive of some change or has suggestions you don't disagree with, consider it, else let's wait for relevant emails.

quite convenient but also unprofessional, imo.

^this is an actual email i've send to support when i first started playing satellites. i send two more for the same payouts issue but the same automated responses "thanks for feedback, will pass along etc" got old and so i got into 2+2. it should count for your records.
