You know what else you can call blocks of similar people? Ghettos. And what happens when the ghettos get full? They're liquidated.

Tetris is a Holocaust simulation game.

Is that going to be the plot of the live-action movie based on Tetris?

I'm happy to have a conversation about the deleterious effects of the media in society but not one where the focus is artificially narrowed due to a racist lens.
I dunno, I think you have his range wrong here. In my experience, people who complain about rap also think violent video games, movie, etc. are bad. I hope you're not all in. The live reg might scoop this pot.

I dunno, crossing the street when you see a "thug" is a pretty obvious sign to anyone watching that you're a soft target, and it's not going to give you any protection from said thug.

Hahah remember earlier when this little dude was whining, sincerely and plaintatively whining, just because I said I felt sorry for his daughter? Like dude was acting hurt that I would go there, he whined something about whether I really hated him that much.

wil, I don't hate you. I look down on you, sure, but you've never done anything to me.

You seem like an enormously racist and stupid narcissistic ******* who is almost assuredly a terrible father, but I don't hate you. That's just my honest opinion. Not a lot of people would have to balls to be honest to you about how ****ing awful are.

He was dressed very shabbily. He came at me with a cup. Omg, he was BLACK! I'm a big ol' racist.

*or maybe Castansa?
haha, I knew a girl who had the same thing happen to her, she had a job as a painter and had on old raggedy clothing and some guy tossed her some change when she was on a coffee break. She was white, if that matters. Also, she sold drugs on the side.

Thought about it, but Mat made a racist confession in here, so I figured I'd add mine. Plus, you probably won't be surprised to learn I don't think either one is actually racist.

Seriously how ****ing stupid do you have to be to like, laboriously and strenuously piece together "it's the rap music's fault" braindead social conservatism? That **** was dated in the 80s.

How out of touch can you be with both culture and commentary?

80's? Man, people were bitching about negroes and their abominable jazz music since the 20's.

But like, wil thinks this is some ****ing brand new **** that latte-sipping suburbanites are unaware of. Was the expected response, "oh word, I had no idea how those rhymes and beats incited the colored to acts of such depravity, thanks wil", and that he's getting pushback instead is why he's having his semimonthly race/class-based anxiety attack?

Can I just say I'm getting a huge kick out of wil simultaneously sneering at public universities and being afraid of black people walking down down the street whilst also being seriously down with the street and ghettosplaining to all of us clueless latte-sipping suburbanites what hip-hop is all about. I hope this **** goes on for a few days, I'm kinda bored at work this week.

Yeah this is pretty hilarious. Also when wil said 'sure just give me a minute' never to return, I'm not sure which I'd prefer - that he was trolling (pretty solid troll imo) or that he did some basic googling and realised he's completely wrong and ragequit

I'm really, really hoping he comes back with an history of rap from Grandmaster Flash to Niki Minaj that's written for an audience of white 60-somethings.

I mostly love the assumption in all wil's posts that none of us could ever possibly have life experiences that equal - or heaven forbid, surpass - his. For example, wil's Most Complete First Hand Oral History of Hip Hop never considers the possibility that some of us might have also passed through the life-changing crucible of being alive in the 80's.

Which was like all other decades, except that it had decent music.

The Real Roxanne was so much better than Roxanne Shante.

I'm just chillin here with cocoa butter lube waiting for wil's hip hop post.

Just curious if anyone thinks it matters that wil isn't talking about crossing the street because of black people.

60's and 90's, man. Every other decade was either precursory and/or derivative.
