If 5/10 was going then all the rocks were over there and the action regs were probably at 5/5.

Would you consider a good reg a rock?

I mean yeah but if the table is a bunch of nits then no reason to sit. You won't hit an hourly stealing blinds all day lol

Nope. When I say rock I am referring to the mostly 50+ players only playing AK+ and never 3-betting without KK+.

The last few weeks the pots are bigger at 5/5 and sometimes there is even more money on the table at 5/5 (especially if it has been going for a bit).

5/5+ games in Sacramento confirmed terrible. 1/3 and TV's 2/5 much better.

Without being a little bit of a smart ass anymore, I'll just say Sacramento poker isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be.

It may be cyclical and good games may not be as consistent or plentiful as they are in a couple areas close enough to drive to, but games around here are nowhere near as nitty(or as bad) as advertised ITT.

100bb capped games are maybe closer to the perception.

I will say that the last few nights the 2/5 at Cap has been somewat intriguing to me. I do agree with GreenMile that it seems cyclical. There are times when it seems you guys are just passing money back and forth, then there are times when the game seems good.

Just my .02 as a broke busto degen with a craps problemo

also the 2/5 at Thunder is nitty as hell I will give you that.

However 1/3 everywhere is pretty danged good for the most part. People want to say TV is all nits at 1/3 but I dunno, I have had some pretty good nights there. lol sample size

you are running good obv

but ya i agree. there are times when games are great for a few weeks then times where no one in sac has money so only people who play are tight ass regs waiting for big pocket pairs and grinding out tickets and other promotions

Tickets are what's up though. If you win the Focus it makes playing all those hours worth it.

Not really. If you must wonder, check out Atlantis 3/5, or maybe Eldorado 1/3.

Peppermill is the best in Reno but Atlantis may have some action with the card player tournament series in town.

Anyone know what the room rates are for atlantis?

$89 for weekend
$49 for weekday

Wanted to stay Saturday night. Don't like to pay more than $45 for Reno. Looks like priceline here I come.

I'm pretty sure if you play the 5/10 at Peppermill for a minimum of like 4 hours or something Jimmy will comp you a room. Took care of me last time I was up there, even though they ran out of rooms at Peppermill last minute. Still sent me a limo down the freeway a ways to another (still nice) hotel and had a car pick me up the next morning.

Jimmy is top notch.
