Nah that makes no sense from where I'm at. The only reason I'd ever use the NJ Turnpike is if I'm going to New York or farther north.

No BBJ is a good thing, effectively the rake will be lower just because of that.

Too bad none of the PA casinos will do time charges instead of rakes, or at least keep the rake to no more than $4, but I guess convenience has its price. I'm glad there's no BBJ. If I want to waste $1 I can buy a Powerball ticket.

I think what's really important is that they have experienced dealers who can get in 15 hands per half hour, on average. That's what really hurts any prospects of making money at this--not seeing enough hands. Hopefully there won't be any ridiculous tip pooling either, which of course gives dealers less incentive to work as quickly as possible.

Finally will alcohol be comped or not? I can live without it of course but it's nice to have a free one or two, and it's definitely good for the game (i.e. my prospects of making money) to play with drunks.

if they open with any less than 25 tables, dealers will have to pool tips, its a state law. if thats the case, then real experienced dealers wont give a ****, but i think theyll open with 25, like harrahs

Please explain how adding 20% (1.00 ) a pot lowers the rake?

With no BBJ you are paying $1 less per pot

hes saying $5 is better than 6, but its still only a $1. if youre paying $5 to play somewhere, whats another $1 to win 6 digits. playing the lottery and playing poker are the same thing, its all luck, deal with the $1bbj

He has stated a few times in this thread that (players willing) they intend to spread limit in 2/4,4/8,8/16,15/30,30/60.

Not sure where you get that, when playing at Harrah's all the limit games at 10/20 above and I believe 5/10 NL and up are time charge games

That's not a state law. Sands has 12 tables and dealers do not pool tips.

Best situation possible at 8/16 and up, time charge and no BBJ please.

I don't play that high. I suppose I should have said, "I wish 2/5 NL in PA were time charge instead of rake."

I said 15 per half hour, working under the assumption they're working in half hour segments per table.

Thanks, sorry i didn't see that post. I guess I should read all his posts.?.
Obviously, it will depend if there are players who want to play those limits.
Everyone can just start "Lists of Interest" , and anyone who wants to play will. I know i will just start one for 30-60 and 15-30 limit when I go.

No problem, and it will definitely depend on what players are there and who can be cajoled into what. I think it mostly is about what he seeds the list with from his end.

This is not the case, our dealers will be keeping their own tips.

Thanks

Ari

This is the direction I would like to go in, but of course the players come first. In my experiences as a player and a manager, 15-30/30-60 tends to be a better game.
