I've only played in one but I don't think it had much effect. Of the 50 total entries I think there were only about 5-8 re-entries. Most of the daily regulars don't feel like dropping a couple buy-ins and I don't think it played any different. If anything I felt like with the additional chips in play with fewer total players there was alot more play at the final table than usual.

Also, if you feel like players are playing loose and willing to give up there chips early couldn't that be taken advantage of? Somebody has to get them....

Thanks Boiler - Good point. I've only played rebuys at non-casino events and they are "****e-shows" from a rebuy perspective. Your feedback is very helpful, so I appreciate it.

I agree. I played one last night and I dont think it was any different than ones I had played before they were rebuys. Overall bad play either because people just dont give a **** about $100 or just because they are bad, but either way, if you are halfway competent, you should not having trouble cashing or even winning on any given day... 86 people last night. It was a fun table. Had a heavyset guy that seemed to know almost everyone and he was a big joker, just tossin chips around but I felt he was a competent player.

Pretty much an entire table of regs. The loser of the hand was the only one I didn't recognize. Quad 7's beaten by a straight flush.

How does 2/5 run on the weekend vs. a week night? Softer? Tougher? More Players?

First time @cincy on Wednesday (good experience) and may come back on the weekends sometime.

Oh wow Gary Costa won. I've played with him before at the 6 max circuit event. he's a super nice guy. I recognize half of the table. I'm glad it went to regulars. The lady on the far left also won a free seat into the 50k guarantee and got like 12th or something. Not a bad 2014 to start.

I have played with most of them as well. Nice to see the regs take it down. Keep that money flowing in the room and don't piss it away on cheap booze and hookers please

What does a cab ride from here to Newport generally run? $10?

I would say that $10 is about right presuming there is not some concert at the casino or other event that could impact traffic. It should be a straight shot down Eggleston, to Pete Rose Way, and across the bridge....Unless there is a road closure, no reason why they should take you any other way.

Has anyone seen a structure sheet for the $265 reentry? Last I checked the website had nothing and I haven't been to the poker room in awhile. Every time I try to call the phone is busy.

Is this a Sunday only promotion? Anyone know the promotions on other days of the week? I'll be at this room this Fri-Sun and am interested to know.

I knew it wouldn't take more than a couple of weeks for it to hit again after the big one. Always seems to work out like that.

That sucks. They should really start the bad beat at 50k or something. If not more.

Why? It's not like they're having trouble getting people in the room.

They could run the BBJ like some rooms do with a % of the $1 drop going to a backup BBJ, but then all that money comes out of the promotions fund. Which means all those ME seats they add to tournaments, or giveaway to cash players would be a gone.
