I think you have to physically go to the casino and see according to their Facebook, unless someone who already went posts them somewhere. My brother in law just asked me the same question.

Sunday-Thursday for the next two weeks they are also doing the hot seat promotion where they draw a seat number and everyone in that seat in the room gets paid $100. I don't know the exact times but it's 8 times a day.

As far as I know, you had to receive a mailer/postcard with this info. I dont know think you have to be a VIP because I am a Diamond member and on anything that is exlusive to Diamond or above, it will say so on the mailer/postcard. In this case, it just had like 4 different 5 card poker hands and you have to match your 5 cards to the cards that were in the casino....if you match like 2 or more you win a prize. Kind of a PITA just to see if you MIGHT win something IMO.

It's not directly in the poker room, but it has "something" to do with it as some of us have the offer.

I haven't seen anyone mention the changes to the tournament schedule. All tournaments are now re-entry and Wednesday and Friday at 12:30 is now an $80 turbo 15 min levels 5k starting stack. Also, the Sunday tournament is a 15k guarantee (I'm pretty sure this is new). All other tournament buy-ins and times are the same I believe.

The monthly $400 moved to 40 minute levels and is awesome. (also a re-buy now)

Also, since I'm here, HSC will be having a tournament series called the Queen City Classic sometime in March. I talked to one of the floor guys and he said it's just being finalized by the OCC. So we have that to look forward to.

Woo hoo! Someone please post as soon as the schedule is ready. I'll need to schedule a couple days off, especially if they include PLO or O8 (LO8 or PLO8... both are GR8).

Is there any word on another tournament series soon at all? Thought Cincy would be like Hammond and have two events a year but haven't seen or heard any prospective date range

Lol how did I miss that. Was driving from buffalo -> Choctaw, drove through downtown Cincy and just scanned the thread really fast after I saw the Horseshoe.

Hopefully it doesn't compete with WSOPc St Louis, looking for a tourney series to go to in early March and it would be a nice fit

Check out the travel lodge in Newport, it's cheap and only 5 minutes from the casino. Just don't pay any attention to the bed bugs and you will have a great visit.

Not sure what you would consider not too expensive, but the Comfort Suites in Newport is $110.00 a night and you can be at the casino in about 5 minutes assuming it is not a busy time of day. There are other hotels in the downtown area but most are older and if they are newer, or new, they are gonna cost closer to $150 a night. There are also a few good hotels about 7 miles north of the casino off of 71 in the Hyde Park/Norwood and the Blue Ash areas.

You can also probably go to either Covington (5-10 minutes) or Florence/Erlanger (15-20 minutes) on the Kentucky side of the river and find something. As a local I have not stayed at any of these hotels, but I would just do a search on a travel website or a hotel booking website and see what you can find in terms of specials or in your price range.

If you don't mind a 12-15 minute drive I'd recommend staying at I-75/Sharonville Road. There's a Drury, Red Roof, Holiday Inn, & Comfort Suites all there for 45-80 a night. It also has a couple restaurants and bars within walking distance. It's just a 10-15 minute drive down I-75 in non-rush hour.

If you are a Total Rewards member check out their website and see what rates they quote you for their partner hotels in the area. I play almost exclusively 3/6 limit (albeit a lot of hours) and I am always amazed about this, but I get a comped room available to me several nights a week..and these are nice hotels. I stayed 4 nights free at the Hyatt last week, and I could do it again this week if I wanted to. I don't see how my play at 3/6 limit justifies these free rooms, but I don't ask questions, I just take the room. Look at the rate calendar on the website and it will tell you the price for any night the next couple of months. I usually book it last minute and more often than not I get a comped room, or if not it's deeply discounted. You could also call the reservations line on the phone if you can't find it online. You can park in the casino garage for free and walk or take the free shuttle to the hotel, to avoid the parking fee at the hotel.
If you're not a Total Rewards member, they may or may not have a good deal for you, but it's worth a shot.

I wouldn't recommend walking anywhere around the casino.

There is security everywhere around the casino and the justice center is across the street. Unless you walk towards Over the Rhine it's no big deal as long as you're not stupid about it.
