I stayed 4 nights free at the Hyatt last week, and I could do it again this week if I wanted to. I don't see how my play at 3/6 limit justifies these free rooms, but I don't ask questions, I just take the room. Look at the rate calendar on the website and it will tell you the price for any night the next couple of months. I usually book it last minute and more often than not I get a comped room, or if not it's deeply discounted. You could also call the reservations line on the phone if you can't find it online. You can park in the casino garage for free and walk or take the free shuttle to the hotel, to avoid the parking fee at the hotel.
If you're not a Total Rewards member, they may or may not have a good deal for you, but it's worth a shot.
What other games do you play ?

Beechmont Ave in Amelia/Anderson is right off 275 and is only 10-15 minutes away from the casino. Just hit up 471. There is one or two hotels available in that area.

No other games, no slots, no blackjack, nada. Just poker, and mostly 3/6 limit. Now, I've achieved Diamond status playing 3/6 limit at multiple Caesars properties, not just this property, but as I said somehow I get these comped rooms available to me at this property every week if I want them.
It's usually a last minute deal, so I'm thinking that they probably only offer it to me when they have ample supply in the short term.

WOW, how many hours do you put in? I played enough to get Platinum, but barely got there from playing when they opened in March until late October prior to a Vegas trip in November so that I could waive resort fees and that is ~300 hours.

Actually, I suppose diamond is 15,000 tier credits and you get 17/hr, so it would be a 883 hours, which is 73.5 a month or around 17 hours per week, which I guess is pretty reasonable.

Played the $210 tourney today. Several players besides me were disappointed in how the floor handled the seating during the tourney. Prior to first break, the table I was at was 6 handed for 60 of the 90 minutes, and 7 handed for the other 30 minutes. As the tourney progressed the same problem came up again and again. With about 40 players left, saw full tables while the one I was at was again 6-handed. Another player said he was at a 5 handed table several times. Also, switching the dealers 2 minutes before level changes or breaks seemed odd, but credit to several dealers who told the new dealers to wait until the level ended. Hopefully this was just a bad day for the floor and this is not the norm.

That seems out of norm from the tourneys I've played in. In fact, I thought there was a rule in place for the dealer to stop play if they hit 7 players with a large crowd and 6 players once the field narrowed. I wonder with all the cash games going on if the floor is being pulled too many places. We have waited on the floor before when they were dealing with an issue at the front of the house - not fun.

Any interest from anyone for trying to get a recurring $5/$10, $6/$12 or $10/$20 limit game going at Horseshoe?

it seems as if 10 different people have been in here trying to organize a 10-20 LHE game. Just need to show up each week and keep showing up and build it. 10-20 with kill would probably be the best idea.

Does the 6/12 O8 game run anymore. I keep checking on Bravo and never see more then a couple of people on the waiting list. Is it just a matter of the regulars not being around in the winter or did something happen to discourage the players?

Sadly it does not run on it's "usual" Wednesday/Friday/Saturday schedule. I think the bigger PLO games took some of our players. I did see there was a table last weekend (Friday night, I think) and for a while yesterday there were names on a 3/6 O8 list, although I don't think it ran?? I'm also curious why the core "barber shop crew" haven't kept up the 6/12 LO8 recently (if there are more reasons than just the big PLO game taking players).

I know that some in the barber shop crew go south for the winter, or at least they did when the game ran at Hollywood. The last few times I played there weren't many barber shop guy's playing and they had 2 tables going. I thought it would have more staying power since those guys weren't needed to drive the game. I know people that don't like playing with them, but it seems they are needed to get the game started.

A couple of the guys doesn't mean all of them... I certainly don't play that.

I am looking forward to event #1. Coming back from the debacle at the Borgata last week, including some of the worst management and awfully ran tournaments/horrendous dealers, I am hoping for some relieve with this series.

That being said, what is to stop cheating in this event? Run your day 1A stack way up, peel chips and save for day 1B? These things have to stop and are getting out of hand, really.
