How hard can it be to do simple things when you have such a great facility?
The food in the poker room..... What kind of oerson plans this? Over priced, slow, laughable selections.
The food court. Subway. Could there be a more generic prepackaged place? Fried seafood. Pizza: how could they make it any oilier and greasier? And how poorly managed.... It's 2AM, 99% are getting either cheese or pepperoni, yet, they insist on loading up with random topping choices?
.... 15 minutes in the Borgata food court could give them a guide.

...... New non smoking casino is nice, and they got a ton of Asian table games..... But no cashier, and everyone has to go down thru the poker room. It's so poorly planned.

You should explore more of the property. The mini Juniors in Fox Tower is 24 hours and has salads and sandwiches. The food court in Fox Tower has a deli place, and a Sbarros with normal topping pizza. Fuddruckers near Pequot is open late and has salads.

I'm getting 30pts for weekdays, 40pts for Fri-Sat. Slight drop from 30-50. I think being from NYC, they will give a little more.

If you go MLK day, they are offering freeroll play in the ball room.

"Gym" in Great Cedars is pathetic. Grand Pequot has a much nicer workout facility and a swimming pool. So it's in much higher demand than the others.

I wasn't even ware Great Cedar had a gym. I know they have a pool, but where is the gym?

gym is on Ground floor near the elevators around the corner from the check-in desk.

despite it being card accessed and not supervised, its closed after 9pm (?). it's pretty poor that you can't play poker and then workout as they close both gyms early.

When I stay at Fox tower, I eat down that end.... Don't like Juniors at all.... Staying up the other end, food at Fox is too far away. Love Fudds.... Line is impossibly long after 1AM....

My wife and I are thinking to change from AC Borgata to CT. We might just come this weekend with paid Holiday Inn. One thing that bothers me is we get weekend comp rooms most of the time in Borgata since we play long hours each time, but does Foxwoods or MS offer free weekend room to poker players at all? weekend matters since we work in Manhattan on week days. Which casino is easier with weekend rooms, Foxwoods or MS?

Thanks in advance and see you in CT!

Neither casino is going to give you free weekend rooms from poker alone. Keep in mind this is not AC - on most weekends the rack rate for hotel rooms is $500+, they're too valuable to the casino to give away liberally.

Oh, OK. I will still check it out. Hopefully they have reasonable reduced rate.

How about weekday rooms? Which casino is easier?

My wife plays 2-5 and I play 1-2. We each play over 10 hours a day if we come to the casino.

Just FYI. It is easy to get weekend rooms in Borgata by playing poker only.

I'm still a newbie to poker, (and the forum), so I'm on the cheap when I go. I stay at one of the economy hotels, there are a lot around the area. But for not much more you can stay at the Two Trees Inn. Don't let the low rating put you off, I stayed there and thought it was very nice, and the walk to the poker room is actually shorter than coming from the other end of the casino.

Weekdays are reasonably attainable at both. Mohegan would probably offer them sooner based on the way free bookings are done at each

I just went there and I couldn't find it. How well is it hidden? I found the pool, I found the Beatles exhibit, I found the employee training room and I found the bell captain, but I didn't find any exercise equipment.

The hallway IS the exercise room. You know all that walking around you just did? There ya go.

As of this week, you can now order food from California Pizza Kitchen to be delivered to the poker room. Menus available at podium. I think this is a huge improvement.
You still can't eat at the tables, though (at least not openly). But you can sit down in the former King of Clubs area to eat.
(But be quick -- or eat in rotation -- 3rd Man Walking still in effect!)

Good on you! I play Sunday & Monday (usually). I reserve the room for 2 nights but only stay over one night. Do you mind telling me how many days per week you play? Maybe, I'm not giving enough action by only playing 2 days per week.

Lol, I play 2 days every 2-3 MONTHs. They want the NYC crowd.

Great Cedars hotel check-in. Very close. It's right next to the elevators. If you didn't know it was there, you would think it was a door to a broom closet. LOL

It's not about how frequently you go. It's about how much you play per day on the days you do go.
