My King rooms aren't up.

I recently went to foxwoods after over a month off though. The lady at the rewards cards place handed me a wild after I asked for my new card. I asked her if this was the right status and she looks and says oh actually you're a king and prints me a new card. I mean how dumb can people be not to look up a person's reward status before printing a card.

Card tier doesn't matter. If you get free Friday and/or Saturday, you got them a couple weeks ago. If you don't, you haven't gotten them yet.

I just checked my offers and have the following one:

"MID NCL CRUISE EVENT4/27/12 - 4/27/12 You have been selected to receive a complimentary 7-day cruise on Friday, April 27, 2012 in the Grand Ballroom from 6PM - 9PM. Reservations are required."

Does anyone know the details around this?

How much did you have to lose to get a free 7 Day NCL Cruise? Beat if it goes to Nova Scotia lol.

They did this last year too. It's really not all that great. You have until something like August to book an NCL cruise within the next year. You get comped for the base rate of a mid-level room, and that's it. Taxes, fees, port fees, etc etc are all on you. Transportation to the departing city is on you. It's not "free" by any means, ends up saving you probably $300 if you were to go on one.

Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry tries to give George free Superbowl tickets. "Are you paying for my hotel? Airfare? Food? You're not handing me 2 superbowl tickets, your handing me a bill for $2000."

Is the discounted part of the cruise for you +1 or just one person?

Pretty sure it's you +1.

They did this last year with airline tickets. It was a stupid promo but I'm sure it drove people in b/c it sounds like a good deal till they get to the fine print.

If anyone cares about another in item in the rising costs at Foxwoods.

In last month the hotel rates have have up across the board for everyone.
(and it's not even busy season yet, must be trying to recover billions they owe).
MGM, Pequot, Cedars have been charging a crazy $9.95 resort fee plus tax
equals $11.50, BUT NOT TWO TREES

Well now Two Trees has started a 5.95 resort fee plus tax for 2 bottles of foxwoods water in rooms.
BUT IT DOES NOT APPLY to resevations already made only new ones.

For those asking about May rooms, they have been in people accounts for 2 weeks just not showing online. Call reservations, or ask at hotel desk or ask a host if at Foxwoods. (But if you ask a host you might get looked down on when they tell you your just a poker player)

Also anyone wanting to know how many points needed for next card, just ask at a rewards card location, instead of a host as previously mentioned or again you might get pissed off when hosts look down on you.

I'm surprised Two Trees went as long as they have with no resort fee.

I just want to point out to FW management how absolutely ridiculous this is that you can't check tier status online.

MS is closer to me and I can check my account status online. AC is a little further but they offer better weekend rates and I can check online at both CET and Borgata.

I'm trying to play more at FW and less elsewhere but they are not making it easy for me to do so...

It's probably because your average person will likely be confused about why they have different qualifying points for different cards.

If you've played 5 days this period, with points earned of 12, 200, 75, 3, 10, then your qualifying points for these cards will be:

Crown - 300 (you need 500 more points to earn Crown)
King - 297 (you need 2203 more points to earn King)
Ace - 275 (you need 4725 more points to earn Ace)
Royal - 200 (you need 9800 more points to earn Royal)

Crown - 300 (you need 500 more points to earn Wild)

Ace - 275 (you need 4725 more points to earn Ace)
Royal - 200 (you need 9800 more points to earn Royal)
Or it could be to avoid people gaming the system and doing exactly enough to get a King or Ace.

I have another question about the new rewards card. When I asked the lady at the counter about my rewards status she said I need X points to maintain my King Status and Y points for the Ace. If my current status expires 9/12 does this mean I would earn King from 9/12 for another year after that if I earned X or is there some other cutoff date that they aren't telling me about (like maybe my current King status is provisional for some reason)?

Either people understand the qualifying points or they don't. That's should be more the reason to display their points online.

How hard is it to list their current status, points, and points needed for the next level?

"Welcome Crown member. You have 300 tier points. You need 500 more points to advance to the next level."

Borgata, for example, easily lets you know where you stand.

Welcome back, XXX!

You need to earn an additional XXX Comp Dollars by February 02, 2013 to maintain your My Borgata Black Label status.
For CET, log into MyTR and you see:

Quote:
Current Tier xxx
Tier Score: xxx
Your Offers: xxx
RC Balance: xxx
Sure I can ask at the rewards booth (After waiting in line for 7 or 8 days) then keep track myself logging in points earned in a day and track my tier status but that's unnecessarily convoluted.

Could be, but if so, I think it's really stupid, because this is exactly the behavior FW should want to encourage.
The airlines frequently let you know exactly how many miles you're flown this year, and exactly how many you need to get to the next status level. This encourages people to concentrate their flying with one carrier and sometimes even to take extra trips just to get to elite status. Once people have achieved elite status on a particular airline, many will go to great lengths to try to retain it year after year, which of course is the airlines' goal.
No one is going to cancel a planned trip to FW because they just managed to make it to King or Ace status; but people would probably try to cram in several extra trips, or many extra hours of play (or go to FW instead of Mohegan, AC, or LV), if they were close to qualifying and knew where they stood.
People are much more likely to play more in order to get to the next level, than to play less because they've achieved it.

All the more reason for FW to make it easy for players to see where they stand.
(Although higher levels are only of theoretical interest to most poker players!)

It's what you think it is. You are X points away from hitting 2500. If you hit it before 10/1/12, you will re-new your King card from 10/1/12 through 9/30/13. You have King from now through 9/30/12 regardless.

I'm not sure if it's happened yet but TT may already be under new ownership.

TT isn't exactly a resort, so there really shouldn't be a resort fee. Also, they have bed bugs and/or fleas.

Anyone have bachelor party experience at FW?

I am trying to convince the best man, who is organizing it, to have the "entertainment" in the suite from 8-10. He is pushing for 11-1am. Just seems like a bad plan. Noise complaints etc.

We are staying at TT, and based on Prizm's post I will be staying up all night in the poker room to avoid bed bugs/fleas.
