Playing basic strategy (not counting), it changes the house edge from 0.371% to 0.569%. That's an increase on the house edge by over 53%.

Wow! Guess I won't bother learning that game anytime soon.

It's still the 2nd best game to play (behind max odds at craps).

This past weekend I went to both Mohegan and Foxwoods, played the same stakes and noticed that Mohegan was considerably softer. Obv could have been the table selection but every time I go to Mohegan it seems easier...just saying

"Mind Reader", did we talk about George Lucas and Joseph Campbell together?

Yeah. Speaking of which, I wish they had the Fire Bets. I know it's a horrible bet in terms of odds (almost 25% house edge), but being the degen sometimes I am... :-D.

If nothing else, I wish FW paid a bit better odds on their hard-ways.

Ditto. I know how bad it is, but I still liked playing it. The hard-ways odds are standard, I've never seen better anywhere... and in a few places I've seen worse (7 and 9 for 1, not to 1).

JJC? If it's the same person he's referring too, he was a writer/lecturer on Mythology. Particularly, he was a big influence on Lucas' Star Wars, specifically with the work of The Hero with a Thousand Faces.

Just as an aside... : )

In my recent trips to Foxwoods, I had considered giving Blackjack a try here in there if I was running good. This will of course help me remember, everything else sucks but Poker!

What's your goal with this post? Are you trying to get good players to switch to Mohegan? lol

Duralast, what stakes are you referring to? The 1/2 and 2/5 are both MUCH softer at Foxwoods.

Yea, especially the 2/5

Actually, when I was down in Vegas in March, there were some places that had odds 10/1 and 9/1 for the hard-ways. So, coming back from that trip, I wasn't expecting the 9/1 and 7/1 odds, I guess. Oh well. I still made more than my fair share of $ of them last week :-) Had 6 as the point with max odds, and $50 on hard 6, and rolled it. Somehow makes you feel like a King when you do that stuff lol.

Anyways...I know the comps for poker, but I never really asked what they give for comps/points for Craps. Do you know what the rate is?

That's some great 'leveling' there. Get the good players to go to MS, and leave more 'bad' players at FW so he can make the game invariably softer at FW. Muhahaha. It's so crazy, it just might work...

lol, I should have known from the beginning, it's so obvious!

mind reader, do you think that you might just be running good? How many hours of 2/5 have you played? It's pretty easy to win big pots when top set meets a flopped flush... not trying to bash you just saying you might be under estimating your competition a little bit. From what I've seen the average 2/5 player at Foxwoods is at least competent, with the occasional super fish if your lucky.

Are you sure the 10/1 and 8/1 weren't 10 FOR 1? That would be the same as 9-1 like Foxwoods has. They do that sometimes just to advertise a higher number.

No idea about craps. Table games are enigmatic.

I know I've been running well lately. I don't think I'm better than most of the competition at $2/$5, I've just been good at picking my spots lately, and am confident I can book a win most times that there are enough fish at the table.

I've played 2/5 at both casinos and noticed a drastic difference in play. MS seemed to be all regs that knew each other, and at FW its a grab bag, you never know what you are gonna get (A table full of regs can be just as tough as a MS table, but if you get a good table its amazing).

Plus I've heard multiple times that the 2/5 game at MS is full of colluders.

It could be. To be perfectly honest, I don't 100% remember. I'm almost positive it was 10-to-1 odds and 9-to-1, but I could be wrong. I guess I'll just have to go back and check to make sure ; )

There's always a reason to go! Airfare totally blows right now though

I think wherever you go, and money is involved you always have the potential of people trying to gain an edge. Whether that's blatantly cheating -for instance we used to have a 'mechanic' in our home game which got old real quick- or, someone trying to angle-shoot, it's important to weigh your odds. I'm sure you're obviously aware of this, and not trying to be condescending at all. Even at Foxwoods, there was this thread about possible collusion at 20/40:

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/27...xwoods-406356/

It's a tough situation if you're in a position where you think some people might be less than honest (such as if it's truly the case with MS 2/5). Don't know.

But, anyways, whether you're just running great, playing well, etc keep it up! It's poker, ride those streaks when you get 'em. Who knows when we'll run cold.

Seriously! : ( I got a pretty good deal for my friends and I when we went out there. Between airfare and hotel (at the Palazzo) we paid about just over $800 for the week. I Vegas.

Hey everyone, I just moved back the east coast and was thinking of starting to hit up Foxwoods again (its been a few years).

Does anyone know how the Thursday $120 tournament or the Thursday Deepstack usually does for runners?
any info would be appreciated

Last time I played the Thursday deepstack it got about 110 runners. This was about 3 weeks ago.
